Chapter 100 Infernal Dance

Chapter 100 Infernal Dance

Alex barely flinched as the notifications popped up in his field of vision.

He felt a faint burning sensation on the back of his neck, and when he reached up, his fingers brushed against a skull-shaped mark that had seared itself into his skin.

He frowned, unfazed by the warning.

"I've been cursed before, you piece of shit," he muttered under his breath. "This is normal for me."

His rage hadn't subsided.

If anything, it burned hotter now.

Somehow, this place had reached into his mind, digging through his memories and using the most painful ones to taunt him.

That wasn't a coincidence. It was calculated, and it pissed him off.

Alex raised his head, his voice steady but filled with venom as he spoke into the void, addressing the unseen Beast Lord orchestrating this nightmare.

"You provoked me, so be ready. I'll come to you soon."

The air seemed to shudder as if hearing his words.

And then...

Ruuuuarrr!

A deafening roar echoed through the nightmare realm, shaking the very ground beneath his feet.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The heavy, earth-shaking footsteps of something massive began to grow louder, each one sending vibrations through Alex's chest.

Whatever it was, it was coming for him.

Alex's eyes darted to the shop's entrance, narrowing as the tremors grew stronger.

Crash!

The wall of the store exploded inward as a massive, hulking creature barreled through, its colossal form smashing the vendor's stall and everything around it into splinters.

Alex lunged out of the crumbling wreckage just in time, rolling to his feet and spinning around to face his attacker.

A system prompt appeared before his eyes.

[Blight Rhino]

Alex's gaze swept the area, and his stomach tensed.

The Blight Rhino wasn't alone.

More than a dozen of them stood around him, their dark, cracked hides seething with unnatural energy.

Their glowing red eyes were locked on him with pure hatred.

The ground trembled as more creatures emerged from the shadows, their low growls blending into a horrifying symphony.

Alex was completely surrounded.

The lead Rhino roared, the sound guttural and hateful, before lowering its massive head and charging at him, its horn gleaming with a toxic glow.

Alex didn't flinch.

His expression remained calm as his fingers tightened around the hilt of his blade.

"Let's get this over with," he muttered.

As the beast barreled toward him, Alex swung his sword with precision and incredible force. The blade glowed faintly as it sliced through the Blight Rhino's thick hide like it was nothing more than butter.

Shhhk!

The creature split cleanly in two, its massive body flying apart in opposite directions, the separated halves blowing past him.

Blood sprayed violently into the air, but none of it touched Alex.

A shimmering barrier surrounded him—[Aegis Arcane], his protective shield spell, deflecting every drop.

Before he could even exhale, the remaining Rhinos roared in unison and charged at him, their thunderous steps shaking the earth.

Alex's lips curled into a sharp grin.

His eyes gleamed with cold determination.

In the blink of an eye, he moved.

His body became a blur, weaving between the rampaging beasts with inhuman agility.

One Rhino lunged at him, but before it could land a hit, Alex's blade flashed, and the creature was torn into chunks, its remains scattering in all directions.

He slipped through their ranks like a shadow, untouchable and relentless.

Each swing of his sword left devastation in its wake, cleaving through thick hides and bones with ease.

The battlefield was a storm of chaos, blood, and gore, but Alex remained calm in the eye of it all. His movements were fluid, almost graceful as if he were performing a deadly dance.

The Blight Rhinos, powerful and unrelenting, didn't stand a chance.

One by one, they fell, reduced to lifeless heaps in the wake of Alex's onslaught.

One… two… thirty.

More Blight Rhinos fell to Alex's relentless blade, their massive forms collapsing into heaps of bloodied flesh. Stay tuned to My Virtual Library Empire

The battlefield was a graveyard of shattered beasts, but Alex wasn't done yet.

He felt it before he saw it—a wave of danger surging toward him.

His instincts screamed.

Alex twisted, narrowly dodging a crackling bolt of lightning that struck the ground where he'd been standing.

The impact left a scorched crater, the air sizzling with residual energy.

He whipped his head toward the source and locked eyes with a new threat: a corrupted deer.

Its eerie antlers pulsed with glowing energy, radiating power as it prepared another attack.

The corrupted deer fired again, but Alex was already moving.

He dodged to the side, raising his hand to dish out an attack.

A burst of black flame erupted from his palm, engulfing the deer in a fiery blaze.

Its agonized cries echoed for a moment before it disintegrated into ash.

Alex had no time to celebrate.

In his maneuver, he'd landed directly in the path of a charging Rhino.

Its horn gleamed as it lunged at him, the ground quaking beneath its massive frame.

Unfazed, Alex gripped his sword tighter.

He spun his body mid-air like a Beyblade, his blade becoming a deadly whirlwind.

The Rhino's tough hide offered no resistance as Alex tore through it and the others in the group.

Blood and chunks of flesh sprayed everywhere, painting the battlefield in crimson.

He landed softly, his boots touching the blood-soaked ground with a calm precision.

But as he straightened, a massive shadow loomed over him, blocking the faint light.

Alex craned his neck upward and saw it: a towering creature with a hulking, grotesque form. Its twisted muscles rippled under its sickly green skin, and its glowing eyes burned with malevolence.

[Blight Troll]

The massive beast let out an ear-shattering roar and lifted one of its enormous feet, aiming to crush Alex like an insect.

The foot came down with thunderous force, the ground shuddering violently from the impact.

But when the Troll lifted its foot, it found nothing.

Alex had already leaped into the air, his form a blur of motion.

He descended from above, his fist glowing with power.

"Catch this," Alex growled, his punch connecting with the top of the Troll's skull.
