Yarin's POV:

"You've already guessed a lot right. Do you want to continue thinking? If you guess correctly, I will reward you!" Azazel said.

I shuddered - soulfully - and refused. "No, I'm not interested."

"Really?" Azazel didn't mind my rejection. "I thought you would be curious about what happened to your mother when she was young. After all, there are many things that she doesn't know until now. Perhaps this is the only chance for you to understand. Are you not going to try?"

This damned demon knew how to manipulate people's hearts and quickly grasped me. Of course, I wanted to know what happened back then. There were too many secrets buried in the Rocky Mountains. When my mother was young, she only had time to end this journey quickly, leaving unanswered mysteries drowned by the snow.

She rarely mentioned this, but it didn't mean she was relieved. She unconsciously showed a sense of regret and sadness whenever she talked about the Rocky Mountains. She missed her old friends who had passed away but was helpless then. She almost lost her companion's life and could not explore more.

Now, the demon in question was using this regret as bait. It seemed that there were no traps, but who would believe in the kindness of a demon?

"Guess, please. I promise you will get what you want." Azazel was coquettishly urging me. If I could control my body, I would have vomited out last night's dinner by now.

"What I want is for you to get lost."

"You always try to provoke me, child, but have you ever heard of a saying? When you are weak enough, any threat is innocent and cute in the eyes of the enemy. I like you more and more. You know how to please me."

"... Can you let me control my body for a minute? Thirty seconds is fine, but she cannot take it anymore. If she doesn't vomit, she will suffocate to death."

"Not for the time being, child. So do you want to continue guessing? I will give you the truth you want, whether your guess is right or wrong."

His pestering made me understand that I had to go along with him today.

Since it had already come to this, how bad could it be?

So I started to guess aimlessly with my limited knowledge. I intended to disgust Azazel deliberately, so the more I guessed, the more I got lost. When I said he 'gave birth to a girl named Linda with a werewolf as his spy', even I felt it was ridiculous. It was not a third-rate soap opera!

Azazel was amused by me and laughed out loud, 'praising' my 'childlike speech' being so imaginative.

Of course, his facial expression didn't change because he was listening to Linda introducing the Lily of the Valley situation to him. He didn't look like he was talking nonsense with me at

all.

In the end, he commented, "Although it's nonsensical, I must say it's very dramatic. If you don't like being a king in the future, you can make a living as a screenwriter."

"The premise is that I still have a future," I said lightly.

I could tell that Azazel didn't care about my attack at all. As he said, I was so weak that he didn't need to care.

Since that was the case, I'd let myself go. My body was stolen for no reason. Couldn't I vent the resentment in my heart?

"Next up is reward time," Azazel said. "Linda is telling you about recent events, so I'll tell you about something further."

Hundreds of years ago, in the Rocky Mountains, the peaceful life of the witch clan was met with a slight fluctuation one day. A pregnant witch was brought here by her cousin and became a new settlement member.

Life here was not considered harsh, but it was not comfortable either. Humans generally did not have a good impression of witches, so witches could not openly appear in society. They had to dress up as human women to go to the market to exchange for some food and daily necessities.

The area around the Rocky Mountains was considered a wilderness back then. No one was in the area besides a small town at the foot of the mountain. The town was the only choice for the witches, but a church was next to the market where a capable priest was stationed.

The witches were not afraid of the girl, but they did not want to lose a rare piece of pure land in the vast world, so they lived in seclusion and rarely went out. They even went to the market occasionally, trying to avoid meeting the priest.

However, they would still explode no matter how hard they tried to hide the firecrackers.

The pregnant witch had already given birth to a child. Due to the custom of witches and wizards living separately, her daughter had never seen her father.

One day, her young daughter suddenly craved raspberries, so the witch quietly took her to the town market to shop. It was on that day that they coincidentally met the priest.

The priest immediately recognized them, but he did not make a sound. Instead, he secretly sprinkled holy water on the fruit stall.
