1758 Why Ask So Many Questions?
"Boy, hand over your space ring! Are you deaf?!" The Peak Sage Plane Elementalist yelled when he saw Grey staring at them. Other than him, there were six others with him, all in the Sage Plane. He thought Grey was shocked by fear and wasn't able to move. Being a good person, he naturally reminded Grey that he was about to rob him and if Grey didn't want to lose his life, he should hand over his ring.
Grey, who was taken aback, looked at the Peak Sage Plane Elementalist.
"You're bandits?" He raised a brow.
"And what about it?" The Peak Sage Plane expert was losing his temper as he added, "Kid, I don't want to harm you. I'm the kind who likes having repeat customers. So unlike the other bandits, I don't like killing people I rob. I'd rather allow you to leave, and hope to rob you again in the future."
Hearing the man's words, Grey was unable to act. It's not that he didn't want to purge the world of bandits like these, but this was the first time he encountered a bandit who actively wanted to make sure his victims survived.
"Aren't you worried I'll bring experts to wipe you guys out?" Grey asked unconsciously. It's not that he was interested in speaking with bandits, but he was quite intrigued by this man. Most bandits would rob him first before urging them to leave or they'll kill them. Even before robbing him, this man was already letting him know of his intentions to let him leave with his life.
The truth is that, in most cases, most people would hand over their properties as long as they were certain that the bandits would leave them alive. So this bandit's words were like a form of eliminating any form of resistance in the hearts of those who crossed him.
"If I was worried about that, do you think I'd want to let you leave?" The bandit asked with a calm expression. This is something that has worked so many times for him, so he wasn't afraid. In fact, after robbing people and letting them know of this, this bandit actually leaves the area for some time. Anyone who can call people in the Venerable Plane will have a significant amount of treasures in their storage rings, so whenever he robs people of this caliber, he always disappears immediately after.
"Understandable," Grey commented after hearing the words of this man. He looked at the man and asked, "Do you have a leader or something?"
He knew this wasn't the bandits' hideout, so he naturally wanted to make sure that he fully dealt with them. If he were to only kill a few and the others manage to escape and continue their conduct, he'd be a bit annoyed.
"Kid, why are you asking so many questions? Just hand over your things and leave."
Even though he was a bit apprehensive, Grey was still someone he was older than, so he was sure that there was no way he'd be in any danger. Just to be sure, he tried to sense Grey's cultivation level.
'Huh?'
He was a bit taken aback when he couldn't sense Grey's cultivation level.
'A normal human?'
This was the first thought that came to his head. He looked to be in his mid-forties, and although he knew that most Elementalists could keep their appearances young, he didn't believe that Grey was older than him.
"Kid, how are you operating your space ring if you're a normal human?" The bandit asked.
Hearing the man's question, Grey couldn't believe that there was such a dumb person in this world. Anyone who isn't an Elementalist wouldn't be able to access a space ring; this is something everyone is aware of, yet the bandit was asking such a stupid question.
"Will you believe me if I say I don't know?" Grey wasn't in a hurry, so he had a few minutes to spare with this bandit.
The eyes of the bandit and the other bandits with him twitched when they heard this. Grey was the first person they'd been able to see in the past few weeks, so they naturally wanted his properties, yet he was feigning stupidity.
"Boy, I'm not in the mood to play. Hand over the space ring, I won't say it again."
After saying this, the bandit didn't stop to wait for Grey's reply, rather, he took the initiative to move closer to him and stretched his hand, aiming for Grey's space ring.
Grey didn't panic, and with the hand of the bandit coming his way, all he did was grab a hold of the arm.
The bandit was taken aback when Grey held his arm, and without any hesitation, he hurriedly withdrew his arm. To his shock, no matter how hard he tried to withdraw his arm, he couldn't take it back. It was as if his arm was locked in place. He looked at his arm and saw that Grey was casually holding his wrist. With Grey's hands on his wrist, there was no way he could retrieve it.
"Boy, have you lost your sense of reasoning? Even daring to stop this master in his act." The bandit snorted, not even putting the fact that Grey stopped him in his eyes.
Grey chuckled as he realized that this guy still hadn't realized the situation he was currently in.
"I think you're a bit lost, so I'll try to jog your memory."
After saying this, Grey forcefully pulled his arm. The bandit, whose wrist was in Grey's grasp, felt a powerful force pull him. Before he could even figure out where the force was coming from, he realized that he was slamming into the ground.
"Ah!"
He screamed in shock, suddenly realizing the danger he was in. Not being able to retaliate showed that he wasn't the other party's opponent.
