Chapter 1185: Entering the Gate

"What's going on?"

"This is impossible!"

"How could a human possess such a wide array of true spirit bloodlines?" the chief of the Qing Ape Tribe exclaimed in an astonished manner.

The chief of the Mountain Moving Ape Tribe also raised an eyebrow in befuddlement as he mused, "Our primordial bloodlines make it very difficult for us to incorporate true spirit bloodlines into our bodies, yet humans have a unique advantage in their bloodlines won't clash with true spirit bloodlines, thereby presenting the possibility of the incorporation of true spirit bloodlines. Having said that, it's still inconceivable that his body hasn't fallen apart after taking in so many true spirit bloodlines."

Lekima had already entered a state of meditation, but he was roused by the commotion, and a look of amazement appeared in his eyes as he observed Han Li from afar.

......

Meanwhile, two of the eight stone chairs in the Holy Primordial Palace on Eight Plains Mountain had been filled.

Bai Ze was seated on his chair, while another nearby chair had been occupied by a black-robed man.

The man had a very imposing physique, but his clothes were tattered and riddled with holes, much like the attire of a beggar.

The man removed his hook to reveal an angular face with a gray stubble and a pair of slightly sunken eyes that glowed particularly brightly in the dimly lit palace.

The man was none other than the Sky Roaming Kun Peng, who had just returned.

"Welcome back, Yue Mian. I knew you wouldn’t have strayed too far away from the primordial land, but I didn't think you would get back so soon," Bai Ze said with a warm smile.

However, his warm demeanor was not reciprocated by Yue Mian, who said in a cold voice, "Cut the chit-chat. Why have you suddenly opened the Asura Blood Gate? Is our primordial land facing a crisis?"

Bai Ze was unbothered by Yue Mian's hostility, and he asked, "Are you aware that the Heavenly Court is about to hold the Bodhi Banquet?"

"What does that have to do with anything?" Yue Mian asked in a combative manner.

Bai Ze's brows furrowed slightly upon seeing this, and he said, "I know that you blame me for what happened all those years ago, but..."

"The Heavenly Court wanted to take Mo Yu by force for his abilities, but instead of allowing our primordial land to go to war with the Heavenly Court, you chose to stand by and watch 'for the greater good'. How did that work out? Not only was Mo Yu killed, Old man Yuan died with him as well, and we don't even know where their bodies are!

“Even if the Heavenly Court is up to no good again, our hearts are no longer together, so you can't expect us to work together like the old days," Yue Mian said with a cold smile.

"It wasn't my decision not to go to war with the Heavenly Court. Mo Yu had foreseen the outcome of such a decision, and he threatened me with his life, asking me not to intervene," Bai Ze said with a pained expression.

Yue Mian's expression changed slightly upon hearing this, and he knew that Bai Ze was telling the truth.

"Yuan Gang knew about this as well, but he still chose to go to Mo Yu's aid. For all these years, I've been constantly regretting my decision, but that won't amount to anything," Bai Ze sighed.

"Indeed, it's all in the past now," Yue Mian sighed as he stood up to leave.

"The Taowu and the Zhuyan have also perished, so you, me, and the Rahu are the only ones left," Bai Ze said, and Yue Mian was instantly rooted to the spot upon hearing this.

"The Asura Blood Gate has been reopened, and I've found suitable bloodline heirs to inherit the True Spirit King bloodlines, but they need time to grow," Bai Ze continued.

"So you summoned me and Rahu back here in case the Heavenly Court finds out what you're doing and decide to attack, is that right?" Yue Mian asked as he sat back down onto his chair.

"Our primordial land needs you," Bai Ze said in an earnest fashion.

"Truth be told, I've been constantly waiting for the day that I make my return to the primordial land. The day must come when the Heavenly Court is made to pay for their crimes," Yue Mian said as a cold aura of killing intent began emanating from his body.

"That day won't be too far away," Bai Ze mused.

Right at this moment, Yue Mian's brows suddenly furrowed slightly, as if he had detected something.

An intrigued look had appeared on Bai Ze's face as well, and he mused, "How intriguing. Now that you're back, let's take a look together."

He swept a sleeve through the air as he spoke to release a burst of golden flames, depicted within which was none other than Han Li with all of his true spirit projections revolving around him.

"How could a human possess so many true spirit bloodlines? Even mine and Old Man Yuan's bloodlines are in there!" Yue Mian exclaimed.

"Not only that, but he also asked me of the bloodlines of the Taowu and the Zhuyan not long ago," Bai Ze chuckled.

As soon as his voice trailed off, a pair of jade vials suddenly flew out of Han Li's body, then disintegrated to release two drops of blood essence, which seeped into his charred body as a cloud of blood mist.

With the infusion of these two true spirit bloodlines, Han Li's Twelve Awakening Transformations sprang into action on its own, and his body began to bulge and transform in an erratic fashion, phasing back and forth between a giant, ape-like creature and a five-colored tiger with a pair of wings on its back.

"He's going to self-detonate at this rate," Yue Mian remarked with slightly furrowed brows.

"That's precisely what's so remarkable about him," Bai Ze said, and as soon as his voice trailed off, all of the true spirit projections revolving around Han Li flew back into his body one after another.

Immediately thereafter, Han Li displayed all twelve true spirit transformations in rapid succession, and as he cycled through these different forms, his aura began to stabilize bit by bit, while his charred body also began to revert back to its original state, like a withered plant resurrected by the warmth of spring.

"How is he doing that?" Yue Mian asked with a stunned expression.

"It seems like he's mastered some type of cultivation art designed to allow the cultivator to refine true spirit bloodlines. It looks to me like he was only missing two bloodlines to complete his mastery of the cultivation art, and he's completed the full set now," Bai Ze speculated.

Yue Mian's brows furrowed slightly in apprehension upon hearing this.

Bai Ze could tell what his concerns were, and he smiled as he said, "Rest assured, he's no enemy of ours. Instead, he's going to be a real thorn in the Heavenly Court's side."

"Does that mean you intentionally allowed him to enter the Holy Primordial Palace so that he can refine his bloodlines and physical constitution?" Yue Mian asked.

"Not only that, but I also wanted everyone to personally witness his bloodline refinement cultivation art. As for how much they'll be able to get out of observing him, that'll be up to them," Bai Ze replied.

"I see. I think he has great potential, but I'm not optimistic about his chances. I don't think there's any chance that a human like him will be able to open that gate," Yue Mian said.

"I disagree. He asked for my permission to try and enter the second gate, and it wasn't a request made out of hubris. Instead, it was because his bloodline reacted to the second gate. Otherwise, given his personality, he wouldn't have made such a request," Bai Ze said, and a look of surprise appeared on Yue Mian's face upon hearing this.

Right at this moment, Han Li suddenly let loose a thunderous roar and transformed into a devilish deity with three heads and six arms, then trudged through the golden flames as he barreled toward the second gate.

Unlike the bloodline heirs, he was unable to crash his way through the gate. Instead, he was stopped cold in his tracks, and a resounding boom rang out from the impact of his body against the gate.

"It seems like the Holy Primordial Palace isn't going to accept him, after all," Yue Mian mused.

"Perhaps so," Bai Ze said as he swept a sleeve through the air to scatter the golden flames on the ground.

Inside the crimson space, all of the primordial beings were staring after Han Li with dumbstruck looks on their faces. What they had perceived to have been a suicide mission had unfolded in a direction completely contrary to their expectations.

However, it seemed that the farce had finally come to an end. There was no way that Han Li was going to be able to open the gate, and with that in mind, everyone hurriedly began focusing on their own cultivation.

"So close yet so far," Fox 3 murmured to himself in a wistful manner as he sat down with his legs crossed.

However, right at this moment, twelve true spirit projections flew out Han Li's body once again, and they fell upon the second gate one after another before fusing into it.

The rough lines on the gate instantly lit up, and a peculiar, primordial aura erupted out from within.

Immediately thereafter, Han Li let loose a thunderous roar as he crashed into the gate once again while pushing against it with his six enormous arms with all his might.

In a miraculous turn of events, the gate was pushed inward slightly to create a small opening, out of which a cloud of dense blood mist came gushing forth.

An ecstatic look appeared on Han Li's face upon seeing this, and he instantly reverted back to his human form before rushing through the opening in a flash.

Immediately thereafter, the gate swung shut behind him with an almighty rumble.

"He... He did it..." the chief of the Qing Ape Tribe exclaimed, and his incredulity was mirrored on the faces of all of the other primordial beings around him.
