"So… that is how you came upon this world? Interesting."

"Not as interesting as you getting to it—I was told by that Sage guy that this is an entirely different dimension."

"You're… really traveling across space?"

A few hours after Riley's meeting with the lady Janine, he and Gary, no—he and Louis were now settled inside a fancy and spacious room. After Riley mentioned that Louis was previously a part of his party, Janine's entire demeanor against Louis changed.

How could it not? After all, to be part of a Hero's party was one of the greatest achievements one could hold in their world.

Having the fate of a Hero puts one's status even above kings, that was how prestigious the title was. Based on what he had found out from Louis, the Book is all that matters in this world—what you have on it would decide everything that was going to happen with your life.

One can even have the title of Beggar, and one can never escape that path, and they have to follow it in fear of contracting the Hocrause—the illness of going against one's fate. Of course, the people of this world do not think much of it, it's all they have ever known.

But when Louis was first reincarnated in this world, it made him… angry. It was almost as if everyone in this world was like him in his previous life as Gary, their fates were already chosen for them.

In his case, it was being Megawoman's son.

And now, here in this world, he was the forgotten son of a noble—but nonetheless, the only title that was plastered on his Book was "Noble", and that was good enough. Unfortunately, he was the youngest of 7 sons, which made him completely neglected by the family as they had already put up all of their plans and resources on the previous children.

And the reason he was not being welcomed by this city is also because of that. For them, it was a sort of dishonor and shame that a noble family would send their abandoned son to be wed with one of their daughters.

But with just a single word from Riley, all of that changed. And so, right now, the two were currently inside the quarters provided for them—well, provided for Louis. The manor was now preparing another room for Riley, as they thought the hero should have his own room.

"You really are the world's favorite, huh?" As for Louis, well, he was now just staring at the window, letting the garden outside reflect in his almost-moist eyes, "The Hero? Seriously? When you've practically killed our entire universe?"

"To be fair, Louis—I was not the one who killed our universe." Riley stood beside Louis, "I was involved with the reason, but it was not me. Ironic, is it not?"

"...Just what the fuck happened after I died?" Louis's eyes widened.

"Everything that could happen," Riley shrugged, "The truth is, Louis—I regretted killing you. It did not really give me the satisfaction and happiness I thought it would bring me."

"Gee… thanks. It's nice knowing that my death didn't amount to anything special," Louis shook his head, waving his hand as he turned away, "But seriously? Why would this world even give you the role of a Hero? That's like—wait… Ha… Hahahaha!"

"Hm?" Riley tilted his head to the side.

"This… this might be your chance, Riley…" Louis held his stomach, unable to hold his laughter to the point that he had to fall onto the bed, "...This is your chance to die—let this dimension end you once and for all. That is what you wanted, right?"

"Indeed," Riley nodded without any hesitation, "But not for now, I have a mission to make sure that my children will not be targeted by anyone in the future."

"You… have children?" Louis quickly got up from the bed; the laughter escaping his lips instantly halting, "What the fuck?"

"Yes." Riley nodded, "One of my children is actually your half-brother, Louis."

"Wait… what!?" Louis clasped his hair, "What the fuck…? What is this, some kind of hentai manga!? The person who killed me became my stepfather or something!? Not even NTR is worse than this! You—"

"Hero, Young Master."

And as a knock came from the door, Louis quickly jumped up from the bed and fixed his clothes, "Yes? You may come in."

And as he said that, a maid opened the door; her head bowed to the ground, "We have brought you some fresh water." She said as she entered the room while carrying a pail.

Louis, however, narrowed his eyes as they immediately strayed toward the corner of the room—which already had a tub of water in it. He then focused on the maid's hands, only to see calluses, blisters, and scars that one wouldn't find in a maid.

And as soon as he saw that, Louis immediately leaped toward his bag, not wasting any time at all to retrieve a pair of… batons.

And there and then, Riley watched as the maid let go of the pail she was holding, revealing the daggers hidden beneath them—and with that as her only warning, she lunged toward Louis… and the two started to fight.

"Heee?" The maid smirked as Louis deflected each of her attacks, "It would seem the rumors aren't true at all—they told me that the 7th son of the Zimmer family couldn't fight and was lazy."

Louis did not respond at all, and instead only scoffed as he continued to deflect and parry the maid's attacks—and the two just continued fighting each other, destroying everything in the room. The vase, the wall, the bed.

As for Riley, well, he was just confused with what was going on.

Louis didn't respond, his face tight with focus as he parried each attack. The fight spilled across the room, very much like the water from the pail, the two destroying everything in their path—the vase, the walls, even the bed.

As for Riley? Well, he was just amused with what was happening. He casually walked to the corner of the room, sitting on the chair as he grabbed some of the sweets that were provided for them by the first maid who entered their room.

It would seem that there were a lot of people who wanted Louis dead in this world.
