Chapter 1139: Heli

Chapter 1139: Heli

Chapter 1139: Heli

Somewhere in the endless expanse of the Sole Remaining Universe, a streak of light was flying through the darkness – a hint of green flowing forward.

Or perhaps, it was actually the universe that was moving over this streak of light; well, whatever the case may be, it was moving at a speed that should be considered impossible, instantaneous, in a way. Infinitely multiple times faster than the speed of light.

And the only reason a trace of it could be seen was because the streak was actually moving in circles – and it was, once again, doing something impossible – resistance. It was moving too fast, to the point that it made the impossible possible as the expanse of space itself started to resist the streak of light.

Something that didn't yet exist was born – space resistance, akin to wind resistance but in the expanse of space.

Impossible. Downright ridiculous and stupid, and yet now it exists solely for the person creating the streak of light.

It was the Queen of the Evaniels, Vania; her hair, glowing green and the markings on her body emitted a harsh and violent light as she ran in circles in the expanse of space.

Why was she doing this, one might ask. Why would she risk being torn by this new element? Well, there was no risk at all for her.

After all, an evaniel's body grows stronger and more durable proportional to their speed. And as Vania was moving at a speed that was capable of pulling the universe itself, she was now probably completely indestructible and invulnerable – no equal.

There was no risk for her at all. There is, however, all the risk for the person whose neck she was holding.

The person wasn't even moving anymore other than to wildly and violently flail his limbs, which were also slowly being shredded by the resistance of space.

Who was this person? One might ask – well, it was a god. Or more specifically, one of the Higher Gods.

Just several weeks ago, Vania had killed Kravos. And now, she has killed another one. It was a god who deemed himself to be completely indestructible, a god who deemed himself to truly be undying, undamaged, and unbothered by anything the entire universe could throw at him.

He claimed that even if a big bang happened right in front of him, he would not even feel a thing.

Well, now, he truly was not feeling anything anymore as he was dead – his body, pulled apart by the universe itself.

It truly looked daunting, what Vania was doing – she was not just simply changing matter or manipulating reality, no – something like that is akin to magic, and she did no such thing.

What she did was just to force the universe to literally bend to her will just from sheer brute speed – she did not care about any of those, however. And as she finally stopped running, the expression on her face could finally be seen…

…and it was an expression completely filled with nothing but a seething rage.

Just… what exactly happened for Vania to be hunting each and all the Higher Gods?

"All of you will pay," Vania whispered out as her eyes started to wander through the expanse of space; the darkness, bending to her will with even just the slightest of movements, "But which one… which one is next?"

"Just let me feel you one time, just one time – and you will find me near you," Vania continued to talk to herself, the tone of her voice quite crazed and almost growling, "You will find me near you…

…and that will be the end."

"...You know that guy?"

"I did."

"...Now, that hurts me. We shared a bed together once, you and I."

Everyone just looked at the woman who suddenly emerged from the walls of the ship; her skin, a complete camouflage. But very soon, however, her metal skin slowly turned to flesh. The woman was incredibly pale, perhaps almost as pale as Riley – but instead of a soft pink under her eyes, she had dark circles, seemingly exhausted.

And from the way her speech groaned, slurred, and slowed down, she seemed to be exhausted with life itself. Her hair was dark, almost too dark as it completely contrasted her skin as it flowed smoothly all the way down to her waist; almost disappearing into her clothes since she was also wearing a deep black dress.

"We almost even had a child together, once upon a time," the woman let out a long and very deep sigh as she started walking forward; her steps wobbly and her head tilting to the side.

"That was my past life," Monkeh crossed her arms, her head slightly tilting up so she could look down on the woman, "Go away, Heli – and I do not mean this in a forceful way, I'm saying this for your own sake since, as you say, the two of us have past… let this warning be my final gift to you…

…this is not a battle you want to fight, leave."

"My, my, my…" Heli raised an eyebrow; her veins slightly showing on her forehead from how pale she was. Despite Monkeh's warning, Heli still stepped forward, approaching her, "...If I didn't know you any better, I might think you're flirting with me."

"...How is that even flirting?" Aurora whispered to V.

"Maybe it's time you introduce us to your friend, Monkeh," Miss Pepondosovich hopped onto a chair before looking at Heli from head to toe, "...And why did she even shoot a dart at Riri?"

"Because she was trying to kill him," Monkeh let out a small growl as she looked at the dart in her hand, twirling it around before putting it directly in front of her face; her eyes, staring at the worm that was actually wriggling inside it, "This little friend is called the Death Worm, and as its name suggests, making contact with it leads to, well… death."

"That worm…?" Aurora squinted her eyes as she leaned closer to the dart.

"This dart penetrates through your skin, and then the worm works its way inside you…" Monkeh continued to growl; her fangs almost showing as she whispered, "...and then it dies and gets absorbed by your body…and you die with it. This is the most poisonous thing in the entire universe…

…this is the Poison of Death."

"Oh my…" Heli covered her mouth as she giggled, "...You know it so intimately. I'm starting to think you still have feelings for me. Maybe we should get back together, I don't even mind that your new bo–"

And before Heli could finish her words, Monkeh suddenly threw the dart at her; her head, violently tilting back as the dark completely penetrated through her skull.

"Of course, I know it intimately…" Monkeh scoffed, "...You used it to kill me."

"Well…" And even with the dart planted right on her forehead, Heli just leaned forward with a smile on her face; the worm, making its way through her skull, "...you broke up with me. No one breaks up with me, Monkeh; the only reason why anyone would break up with me is that they're dead."

"Woo, real charming," Miss Pepondosovich could not help but just look around as she heard that, "When are you going to have someone like that in your harem, Riri?"

"So, why isn't she dying?" V squinted her eyes as she looked at Heli still alive and well even with the worm inside her head, she did not even bother removing the dart at all.

In fact, they could actually see the worming crawling through her skin – even swimming across her eyeballs and then over the bridge of her nose to cross to her other eye. It was weird… and not to mention disgusting.

"Ew," And for the first time, Riley reacted as he saw that happen. He almost plucked the worm there and then but stopped himself since things were only just getting interesting.

"She isn't dying because she created those worms… because the worms are her children," Monkeh muttered, her lips twitching with slight rage.

"If you say it like that, it feels wrong, no?" A small grin crawled on Heli's face as she looked Monkeh in the eyes.

"Heli…" Monkeh just quickly returned Heli's gaze with a glare, "She is known as the Goddess of Death in Aegard."

Heli's grin widened, her voice turning into a low hiss. "Not just a Goddess of Death, dear… the Mother of Death."

And as Heli started to let out a loud cackle and suddenly waved her hands like she was dancing, Riley and Miss Pepondosovich just looked at each other; the two shrugging almost at the same time.

"If you are the Mother of Death, does that mean that you are a Pre-primordial like Nothing, Heli?" Riley tilted his head to the side, "Death never mentioned you to me."

"Hm…?" Heli quickly stopped dancing around as she heard Riley's words, "...What did you say?"

"I said Death never mentioned you to me, Heli…

…perhaps we should call her so that the two of you could reunite?"
