Villain Retirement

Chapter 1135: The End

Chapter 1135: The End

Chapter 1135: The End

"Because I am in love with you, Riley. And it is disgusting – and the only way to kill that part of myself is to kill you…

…and if I have to kill all of me, then so be it."

"Hm?"

Riley blinked a couple of times as several trickles of electricity and lightning started to spark everywhere – almost like butterflies dancing around… trillions of them. Riley poked one of the sparks with his finger, only for his finger to be completely obliterated – the lightning, still crawling through his hand and eating away at it.

Riley just casually cut off his hand to get rid of the crawling lightning as he focused on V, whose entire body was now once again almost completely translucent – only her face was left as the rest of her body had become lightning itself.

"Bolt Extinction," V then let out a long and breathy whisper as her face was very slowly swallowed up by the lightning being produced by her body – and as she was disappearing, the trickles and streaks of lightning that filled the entire area of a star completely devoured everything in its path. Space itself was distorting and being torn apart, to the point that the universe itself started to act.

Millions of portals, emerging by themselves so that the dead multiverses connected to it could at least absorb some of the impacts of 'Bolt Extinction' – if Riley is not mistaken, then this was the strongest attack he had ever seen and experienced.

"Very interesting," Riley blinked a couple of times as he stared at V – or at least whatever she was right now, "But this attack could very well destroy what remains of this universe, Victoria – are you sure about using it?"

"Only you…" V's voice whispered everywhere; endlessly echoing through Riley's ears, "...I will make sure that it will only be you and me that dies. This ends with you and me, Riley Ross."

"I suppose it would be quite poetic if I reached my end from your hands, Victoria," Riley let out a small sigh as he floated closer to V's broken silhouette; his flesh and entire being, slowly withering away from the trickles of lightning – no, he was being erased,

"You have no idea how strong this attack is, do you?"

"As long as it is strong enough to finally kill you." The trickles of lightning started spattering and cracking.

"It is strong enough to kill me, V," Riley continued to float toward where V, whose face was once again materializing, but only her face – which was very fitting, since Riley's entire body was also completely gone and only his face was left.

How the two were even having a conversation without their bodies, well – no one could really question it. Logic does not apply to gods.

Their faces were both just facing each other – with V letting out tears that instantly dry up, and Riley just staring at her with a small smile on his face.

"Why are you smiling?" V whispered as she looked at the smile on Riley's face, "Why are you even smiling!?"

"Because I am very proud of you, Victoria," Riley also whispered, "It may have taken hundreds and hundreds of years – but you accomplished what you set out to do. To be strong enough to kill me."

"My entire life was dedicated to this, Riley Ross," V just looked Riley in the eyes, "My entire life was dedicated to killing you. My entire life was dedicated to you…

…Goodbye, Riley Ross – and let my lips be the last to touch yours."

And with those words, whatever left of V floated closer to Riley; their lips, meeting each other. And in a flash, a light that was infinitely times faster than the speed of light flashed across the entire multiverse – Known and Unknown.

It did not make sense at all, it did not have to… Logic does not apply to gods.

It was a flash of light that carried all of V's feelings – and everyone who knew her felt it.

"This is…" Hannah and Tomoe, who were both together, could not help but just look at each other as the flash covered them, "...Was that V?"

Hera, who was probably the last remaining member of the Hope Guild, quickly covered her mouth as tears trailed down her face and all of her memories with little V surfaced through her mind.

Silvie, who was exploring the universe, could not help but also stop flying through the expanse of space. There were a lot more people who reacted – all of them looking in the direction where the flash came from. All of them felt what she was feeling.

But very soon, however, the feeling faded along with the flash of light…

…because V had completely disappeared from existence, forever gone.

And she did what she said she would do – to end Riley once and for all.

**Villain Retirement – END**

Hi guys, Author here. For everyone who has read this far, thank you for staying and I hope that you have enjoyed this project as much as I have. It is–

"No. We are done when I say we are done."

But all of a sudden, in the dark expanse that was created in the otherwise colorful Grand Triangle, a small spark erupted. And very soon, that small spark multiplied into a million flickers; snapping several times and creating a drum which resounded throughout the colorful expanse.

Pop. pop. pop.

And very soon, the sparks started to merge – creating a familiar white silhouette that soon formed a face – V's.

"W… what the!?" V could not help but let out a gasp as she looked at her hands, which were slowly forming whole again without her control. She then started touching and patting her arms, which had now once again become solid – and very soon, her entire body was once again completely whole like nothing had happened at all.

"Riley…?" V then started looking around for any signs of Riley, and very soon, a small smile crawled on her face, "Are you… are you gone?"

Her smile, however, was adorned by several tears; her voice, cracking more than her lightning had ever been, "Are you… are you finally gone? Am I… am I free?"

"I am afraid not, Victoria."

And as soon as those words whispered in V's ears, her eyes just closed and she let out a very long and deep sigh; enough to almost drown the crackling that followed as Riley materialized in front of her in the very same method.

Trickles of lightning, creating a sentient human.

"I am afraid that I have the same abilities as you do, Victoria," Riley then shook his head; the sigh that escaped his lips almost of disappointment, "It may not be half as strong, but I could control it enough that I could reverse what you did and recreate our bodies."

"How… is that even possible?" V could really only smile as she forced out a chuckle; her eyes, as exhausted as they could be, "That means I can never really get rid of you, Riley."

"You have eternity ahead of you to try, Victoria," Riley then very slowly stretched his hand toward V's face… and she allowed him to touch her cheek, "Do not give up, not now."

"I am going to fucking kill you," the smile on V's face persisted as her eyes once again sparked, "I am not going to stop now. I will—"

And before V could finish her words, the colorful light of the Grand Triangle that was already starting to recover from their battle started to disappear one by one – it was then followed by a low-pitched hum, loud enough to cause V and Riley's insides to tremble.

"Hm?" Riley blinked a couple of times as he turned to look to where the hum was coming from, only to see something big approaching them, "What is that?"

"That is…" V squinted her eyes, "...The Pink Colossus."

"So, it truly is not Cherbi," Riley let out a small sigh as the Pink Colossus' silhouette became clear to him. It looked like a giant sea lion and a tardigrade combined – and it was not entirely one solid shape, no.

Its skin looked like a long sheet of napkin floating to resemble a giant sealion-slash-tardigrade. But perhaps its most noticeable aspect was that it was inside 2 giant rings spinning around its body – the surface of the rings, covered in what seemed to be billions of eyes.

"I was told that the Pink Colossus devours the very concept of life itself," V then grabbed Riley's wrist and then embraced him tight, "It devours anything and everything. Space, and even time, whatever that means – and perhaps it could also get rid of you too, Riley."

"I do not think so, Victoria."

"Oh?" V could not help but just float forward and flinch as Riley's body just went through her like he did not exist at all.

"It is not a pleasant way to go if it is," Riley let out a small sigh while shaking his head, "It looks ugly."

"Well…" V just let out a weak smile as she glanced at Riley, "...We both deserve an ugly death, Riley Ross – I suppose I am going to go ahead."

V then turned to look at the Pink Colossus, closing her eyes as she stretched her arms to the side to welcome it.

"Finally…" V whispered out, "...I will be free."

"I already told you that is not going to happen, Victoria."

"Huh…?" V quickly opened her eyes as she felt a warmth that was devoid from the expanse of the Grand Triangle, only to see her back in the familiar confines of her throne back in the Sphere World,

"Why… what…

…why would you even save me!?"
