Chapter 1133: V is For

Chapter 1133: V is For

Chapter 1133: V is For

A few minutes ago inside the Nothing Nothing ship, Riley was about to relax inside of his private quarters, seconds away from making a clone so that he would still be at the bridge while doing nothing at the same time.

He truly was just here for the Order of Nothing, and it would take something special for him to even come out – like Set, who is considered a Higher God. But of course, since he had faced Kravos the Godkiller before, he thought that it would be more fun to fight with Set – but alas, he was just extremely disappointed.

Set should have just continued fighting him instead of bringing them into that domain that measures sins – after all, Set might have had a better chance of actually killing Riley once just by himself…

…and now Set was just resting on the bridge, forever lost in existence.

"I suppose I am just going to sleep," Riley looked at his clothes, and since he was still wearing pajamas, he did not really need to do anything else but just rest, "I have not done that in a very long time. But first, I need to create a clone so that–Hm?"

Riley was about to create a clone, but before he could do so, he felt something crawl at the back of his neck – the strands of his hair, standing on their ends as he felt the tingle.

"This feeling," Riley blinked a couple of times as he lightly rubbed the back of his neck, "It is extremely familiar."

Riley then just stood there for a couple of seconds in front of his bed, completely silent and not moving at all. But after a few more seconds, a small smile started to crawl on his face as he just suddenly disappeared.

"Is it here?" Riley blinked a couple of times as he found himself in front of a majestic open building seemingly made of smooth marble – the tall and wide pillars that helped hold the roof numbered in the dozens – a giant peristyle. There were perhaps more than a thousand people inside the majestic building – but none of them really noticed Riley as they were all kneeling on the marbled floor; whispering to themselves a silent prayer, and all of their heads were pointing in a single direction.

There was a large and long pool in the center of the peristyle, leading to the end where an exaggeratingly large throne was resting – and there, Riley could see someone just sitting with her legs crossed and eyes closed; completely still, almost a statue that completely melded in with the marbled pillars and walls.

"Interesting," Riley did not care at all about the devouts. But of course, he still showed respect by not walking near them as they were busy praying. And so, instead, he walked across the large and long pool, walking on top of the water.

And as soon as the water started rippling and slightly flowing out of the pool, some of the people who were praying stopped their lips as they all stared at Riley – and as soon as they saw his extremely white visage and even whiter pajamas, they all just quickly let out gasps of shock.

But very soon, however, they all stared at the giant marble statue that was resting behind the large throne – and Riley saw it too…

…and the statue almost looked exactly like him. Well, except for the fact that the statue was holding its own head, and another statue was kissing it on the forehead.

And very soon, the ripple of the water extended to the people – their gasps, also rippling out as they saw Riley walking across the pool.

And as a matter of course, the one sitting on the throne also opened her eyes; trickles of green electricity, seeping out of her eyes and then crawling across her long white hair.

The woman looked extremely ethereal, and also ephemeral. It was almost as if even the smallest of winds would make her disappear. She was so beautiful that she almost looked fragile – and it seemed like it did as her body was seemingly becoming transparent each time the trickles of electricity sparked around her. The woman looked at the crowd first, before finally looking straight.

"Hm…?" The woman's lips just very slowly started to open as she stared at Riley. She did not really move at first, her eyebrows just raising up almost as if she did not believe at all what she was seeing.

But after a few seconds, she just disappeared from her throne and appeared right in front of Riley; her toes barely touching the water as she looked at him from head to toe.

"Another vision…" The woman uttered as her hand very slowly stretched toward Riley's face, "...When will you actually leave me alone, Riley Ross?"

"..." Riley did not really say anything at all and just looked at the woman's hand as it approached his face.

"Your perfect face, your stupid perfect face," and all of a sudden, the woman's tears were now just trailing from her eyes, "You've captivated me this much, I thought I had already escaped your evil clutches. All the things I've experienced because of you…

…I just want you to know that I forgive—Hm!?"

The woman's eyes then widened, almost popping out from their sockets as she actually touched and felt something on his palm as she placed it on Riley's cheek.

"It has been a very long time, Victoria," Riley blinked a couple of times as he just looked V in the eyes; her face, now completely mature and exuding a sort of beauty that was hard to explain,

"I am glad that you are doing well now – the last I saw of you, you have been eaten by illegal substances and alcohol…

…You look a lot better now."

"Riley…?" V could not help but also just blink a couple of times as she floated back; her arms instinctively covering herself as she once again looked at Riley from head to toe, "You're really… here?"

"I am afraid so," Riley sighed, "I apologize for showing myself in front of you again, Victoria – especially now that you seem to be in a much better place. It must have been hard reaching this place."

"You're really… here!?" And with her voice just suddenly thundering across the entire planet, she just quickly rushed toward Riley – grabbing him by the face and then flying up into the sky. Of course, carefully, as she did not want any of the people praying to get hurt,

"How dare you show yourself again in front of me!? How fucking dare you!?" V practically screamed from the top of her lungs – the lightning that was violently dancing on her palm just completely causing Riley to almost become translucent; his bones almost being lit up and burning his flesh, "I have traveled so far to get away from you… so why…

…why are you here in front of me!?"

"It was not my intention at all to follow you, Victoria," and even with the violent lightning tearing his flesh from the inside, Riley just casually spoke.

"You expect me to believe that!?" V then spun around before throwing Riley into the clouds. She then snapped her fingers, and as soon as she did so, the clouds she threw Riley toward started devouring him; the lightning almost turning solid as it burned the very space itself – unrelenting and merciless,

"You… you have terrorized me my entire life! Hundreds and hundreds of years, you were my nightmare! And so, I just went away – the gods? The war? I could care less about all of those…

…I just wanted to go to a place where you can't go. So, why… why are you even here!?"

"I am just here to obliterate the Order of Nothing, Victoria." But of course, Riley just floated out of the clouds; trickles of lightning, also seeped out from his eyes as he looked V in the eyes, "It truly is just a coincidence that you are here."

"So, why… why do you have to show yourself to me!?" V gritted her teeth as the thunder encapsulating the entire planet started to become violent; giant bolts of lightning, just hammering down to the ground.

"It would seem you still have the habit of accidentally killing people due to your emotions, Victoria."

"No," V then stretched her arms to the side, and as soon as she did so, all the lightning and thunders just stopped roaring instantly, "I am better now at controlling my powers – I have harnessed it to its limits – I would say enough to even delete your existence from this very world, Riley."

"It would seem you truly hate me, Victoria," Riley sighed.

"Oh…" V's lips trembled, "...The deepest parts of me abhor you, Riley – to the point that even if I die now, I would make sure to at least wipe that smirk off of your face."

"I am not smiling–Oh?" Riley blinked a couple of times as he touched his face, only to see that he truly was smiling, "Huh… I suppose I am."

"You haven't changed at all…" V's eyebrows lowered, "...Why are you even smiling? Are you mocking me!? Even now, you are mocking me! I gave… I gave my everything to you, Riley and you… you fucking fooled me."

"Why am I smiling?" Riley also seemed confused. But after a few seconds, he looked V in the eyes and just let his smile be, "I supposed it is because out of all the people I have met in my life, Victoria…

…you are the only one who has responded normally – I suppose that is why I like you so much."
