Chapter 1130: I Enjoy It

Chapter 1130: I Enjoy It
"You… enjoyed all the sins you have committed?"
Set was at a loss after that; his eyes, just staring at the endless darkness that surrounded them. He remained quiet for what seemed like an entire minute before turning his attention back to Riley, and then the pool of blood beneath their feet.
And after a few more seconds of looking back and forth everywhere, a small smirk crawled onto his face.
"...Do you really think that your sins will ever outweigh mine?" Set's smirk turned into a full-on chuckle as he shook his head, "I am a god that has lived for billions and billions of years – that alone should tell you that it is impossible for you to be even more sinful than I am. I am the god of strength, famine, and destruction – how could you even be equal to me?"
"I am not equal to you, Set," Riley shook his head, "I am greater."
"...Pft," Set held his stomach as he burst out into a violent fit of laughter, causing the pool of blood beneath their feet to just start rippling out like it was the sea, "Enough of this."
"I agree," Riley nodded as he just casually turned his back to Set, "It is time for us to leave this place."
"...Leave?" Set let out a very long and deep sigh while shaking his head, "Don't you understand, Boy? You do not control this domain – I do not control this domain, only our sins do. And you have been judged, and now you will die and be swallowed by both of our sins."
"This was a field with grass when I arrived here, Set."
"Hm…?" Set's eyes squinted as soon as he heard that.
"This entire domain was an endless field of grass that extended infinitely toward the horizon, similar to the Domain of the Gods," Riley stretched his arms to the side, "And when it judged me for my sins, everything just turned dark."
"...Right," Set once again let out a sigh. But very soon, however, the smile that was about to crawl on his face faded before it could even form.
This domain truly should be an endless sea of grass. It has been so long since he last used it that he has forgotten… Riley is right.
"You…" And Set, for the very first time in eons, felt something he had never felt before. He found his hands slightly trembling; a sweat, very slowly forming on his forehead. He felt frightened, extremely so.
But as a god, fear is not really something that would take hold of him—no. And instead, this fear just quickly turned into rage, anger at himself for even feeling a little bit afraid. It was pathetic for a being such as him to even feel that way.
"Lies," Set whispered out, "Just utter your sins so we can be done with this and leave this place."
"I do agree that we should leave," Riley nodded, "We have overstayed our welcome – this place reminds me of one of the domains of the primordials."
"...Primordials?" Set's eyes widened as he quickly turned to look at Riley, only to see him no longer there. He quickly looked around in all directions, but he was completely gone, "Where are you!?"
Set then just started flying above the pool of blood, causing a tidal wave to erupt across the darkness. And after a few seconds, he saw the pool of blood starting to tremble.
"What's…" He then saw something beneath the pool of blood that he couldn't explain – but he did not really need to, as very soon, whatever was beneath the pool emerged; it was some sort of platform, completely hitting him and stopping him from flying.
"What is this!?" Set quickly got up as he once again looked around at this slightly white field he suddenly found himself on. He truly did not understand what he was stepping on at first — that is, until, he saw the other platforms from the distance.
They were not platforms or plateaus at all, no. They were fingers. Set was currently standing on a finger — and almost as if to prove his realization, a pair of eyes were now staring at him from above.
"You…" Set just took a step back as he looked at Riley's face, which now completely filled the entire darkness in front of him,
"...Who are you?"
"You do not know me, Set – you would have if you were present during the time I was in the Domain of the Gods," Riley answered; his voice, just resounding throughout the entire domain, "I made quite a commotion there, and even fought someone like you — a Higher God. I do wonder where Kravos is now, though."
"Kravos…" Set blinked a couple of times, "...You have fought with the God-killer?"
"I suppose so," a very small smile started to crawl on Riley's colossal face, "If only you were there, Set – then you would have known that everything that has happened, all the deaths, all of it is because of me. Half of the entire population of the entire Creation, gone because I was in the Domain of the Gods. I also see myself responsible for all the gods escaping the Domain of the Gods and unleashing their powers into the multiverse, almost wiping out all life itself. I have killed a lot of people, beyond what you can ever imagine…
00:08
…You ended the universes you created, and you killed because you think that it is necessary – you killed for authority, power, and purpose. I killed because I enjoy it, you and I are not the same…
…I relish on the feeling that I have tortured and hurt someone. I know, and I am fully aware of the monster that I am – but that is not even my greatest sin. My greatest sin, even fully knowing what I know…
…I will still go through with it. I am the end, Set. The one who will close this universe, and I will not just close the door, no… I will bury it along with everything else. You ask me who I am…
…I am Riley Ross."
"!!!" Those words should not carry that much meaning to Set, but it does – and it caused him to just instinctively once again fly away. But alas, no matter how fast he tried to escape, Riley just grew larger and larger; his thumb, now very slowly falling onto him.
"No…" Set then turned to look at Riley's face before his view was covered by his thumb… and there, he saw it – the monster that he did not realize he was facing, smiling from ear to ear. But of course, his fear did not last long…
…as he was soon squashed like an ant.
"And if there will be an even greater sin…
…perhaps it is the sin of being born."

"Oh, it's turning back!"
Aurora's star-shaped eyes started to sparkle as she saw the desert shrinking. And without even a second later, they were back next to the dock like nothing happened at all.
Well, something did happen, but now nothing was. Aurora just stared at Set, who was still holding onto Riley's head. And before Aurora could even utter a question again, Riley leaned away from Set and took a step back.
"What's… happening now?" Aurora asked. As for Monkeh, well, she just opened up the hatch and casually stepped out of the ship, just in time to see Riley very casually pushing Set back with just a single finger… and Set falling down like some sort of frozen statue; his arms not even dropping to the side.
"...Is he dead?" Monkeh asked as she approached.
"I do not know, Monkeh," Riley answered before just looking back at the giant scepter that turned into a balance scale. He did not even give Set a glance before walking toward the giant scepter and placing his hand on it – and as soon as he did so, it shrunk back to its normal size, allowing Riley to hold it,
"Oh…? This will be very usefu–"
And before Riley could even finish his words, the scepter just crumbled from his hands – he was hoping he was going to have a souvenir from this place. But alas, it would seem it was not meant to be at all.
"I suppose not," Riley let out a small sigh while shaking his head, "Let us just go and find the map, Monkeh."
"No need," Monkeh grabbed something from Set's body, "We have one right here and it seems to be updated — I think Set here was about to leave before we came."
"That is very convenient for us," Riley nodded as he started walking back to the ship with Monkeh. But after 3 steps, however, he once again turned his attention to the frozen Set.
Aurora was about to follow them out, but Monkeh and Miss Pepondosovich just entered the ship before she could do so.
"Oh, you found the map already?" Aurora gasped as she looked at the sphere in Monkeh's hand, "...Where's Riley? I thought–"
And before Aurora could finish her words, Riley stepped inside the ship…
…carrying the frozen Set with him.
Ah, I like it when Classic Riley shows up once in a while
