Chapter 1025: Rumbling

?

Isbert looked forward from her throne, her eyes blinking twice as she lifted her head. "He's coming." She mumbled and the dragon maids could immediately feel a faint tremor from deep underground. Soon, a powerful earthquake hit, rocking the whole castle.

That unknown magic wasn't that of a normal being, twisted and terrifying, eldritch magic of the abomination, and a powerful one at that.

Confused and terrified, the dragon maids started running everywhere when they detected the massive magical signal approaching from the depths of the world. Isbert remained sitting on her throne and looked toward Isdis, who had fallen to the ground from the violent shaking, seeing the faint yet powerful barrier surrounding her. The maids were too distracted by the earthquake and magic wave to notice the change around Isdis.

The abominable eldritch magic had already faded quite a bit and was now replaced with a rabid wave of earth magic. This wasn't a normal abomination, it was something worse than that.

"Calm down, he mistakenly teleported underground and is now digging his way up." Isbert called the maids and they stopped scrambling like terrified hens, but she couldn't blame them, the aura coming from the ground wasn't normal.

The floor of the throne room cracked, opening into a massive ravine as a gust of burning hot air burst out and started melting ice walls and floor. Mist and vapor quickly filled the room, obstructing vision just enough to make it difficult to see details, but enough for them to get a rough idea of what was happening.

A stone pedestal emerged from the ravine, carrying the silhouette of a large and muscular humanoid sitting on it. The dragon maids could see him, while Isbert found it hard to see him, only catching a faint glimpse of his glowing purple eyes.

The dragon maids felt him and sensed the immense pressure exploding out of his body. The humanoid's flesh sparked and writhed invisibly with power and heat. He was a dragon, and they knew it.

Arad slowly stood, leaning forward, and looked at Isbert for a second before shifting his gaze at Isdis. He jumped down, landing on the tips of his toes, and all the maid couldn't look anywhere else but at him. The size, the magic, the aura; they couldn't avert their eyes for a second as they feared just that would be enough for him to rip them apart.

One of the maids, a great wyrm clenched her teeth and jumped forward at the intruder, swinging an ice sword at his chest. She put all her power behind that attack, hoping to cause enough damage to create an opening for the rest to charge him.

To them, this man was a clear threat. Gamond isn't here, she was their strongest, but even she felt softer than whatever this dragon was. While she had a cold, silent, and deathly aura, merely looking at this man felt like they were falling down an endless hole with no hope of getting out of it.

Her sword hit his chest and kept moving forward until the hilt hit the man's flesh. She smiled, thrilled that her attack had worked, but at the same time, she pissed and shat herself, her consciousness mind still didn't catch up on what her unconscious instinct felt.

It was as if her body was screaming in terror, ^Why did you attack such a monster?! Fucking run!^

Her body had noticed before she did that her sword didn't pierce the man's flesh, it melted upon contacting his skin. Her ice was far too cold for normal fire to melt, but it was nowhere near what Gamond could use.

He turned toward her, and she fell to her knees, staring at the melted sword in her hand with a terrified face. "You..." The moment she heard him address her, the fear, anxiety, and stress all hit her at once, and she puked beneath the heavy pressure coming from his magic.

A dragon's instincts were far too strong, especially the great wyrms. Like how humans can feel their stomach twisting when facing trouble, great wyrms can feel when they are facing something far too powerful.

"Maids are servants. I'll ignore this only once, get back where you were standing." He leaned forward a bit, "Now."

Why is his wife as cold as an ice cube and shaking like a newborn goat in an unknown place? He knew that the maids probably had nothing to do with it, but he certainly wasn't happy about the situation. The only reason he hadn't blown this place before getting even close was that Isdis was still inside.

She jumped backward faster than even she had thought her body could move. Not a single other maid had thought any less of her, seeing her piss and shit herself like that, seeing her tears and terror, the others could hold nothing but respect for her. Out of all of them, she was probably the bravest, pushing through that terror and attacking while none of them managed to move an inch.

He stepped forward putting his foot right beside Isdis's body. The ice beneath his feet got covered with stone, and the layer of stone extended beneath Isdis, heating up to a normal warm temperature. Arad's eyes looked up at Isbert, "So you took her? Could've told me beforehand."

"Arad Orion, first, welcome to my world. Second, can you tone down your magic? Can't you see? the maids are terrified of you." She looked around, indeed, all of her maids, even the great wyrms were trembling in fear.

And who can blame them? Most of them had already sensed that if Arad wanted, he could explode with enough force to nuke the whole kingdom, and some had even started to guess that it might only take him a few seconds to blow up the planet they lived in.

Age didn't matter at his moment, even if he was far younger than them, the sheer power, magic, and oppressive aura he had developed thanks to studying magic from scratch in Lilia's world made him feel like a bomb at the brink of explosion.

This was Isdis's husband that they heard about, the one that Gamond had gone to catch... wait...where is she? It was then that some of the maids fell to their knees, he probably killed and ate her before coming here.

"Afraid?" He looked around him with just his eyes, "I'm the one who should be afraid. Surrounded by thousands of great wyrms like this...I don't feel safe." He wasn't lying, he as well, was afraid. To keep himself safe, he instinctively released his magic like a tiny animal trying to look bigger than he was.

All of the maids were thinking, ^Bullshit...you killed Gamond, what are you afraid of you monster?!^

"One of your maids had just attacked me, didn't she? I can't trust you won't harm me if I drop my guard." This man...no, this dragon...too cheeky for his age, he knows well that the maids are terrified of him and only attacked because of that fear, yet he's standing here, arguing

with her.

A spark of magic ignited between Isbert and Arad, flashing blue as it transformed into a pillar of ice. The pillar shattered, revealing Gamond inside. She walked out with heavy steps, her burning eyes fixated on Arad. "How did you get here?" She growled, no one should be able to enter this world unless authorized by Isbert. Nyar had managed to break in, but that was an abomination beyond their comprehension.

But...she got a rough idea...it must be that abominable magic she had seen in their fight.

"I always try to keep an eye on my wives. I left Isdis training with Isbert, but she wasn't there when I returned." It had taken Arad less than half a minute to track them to this world. Even Gamond wasn't able to catch him before he darted off.

Arad emerged from Yog's portal in his draconic form, feeling his newfound power and immense and immaculate magic control.

An Obsidian-black dragon glowing with magic and nuclear radiation, standing tall amidst the dried wastelands, his multi-layered brain immediately detected that one of his wives wasn't where she should be, so he teleported to check.

Gamond who just landed after him found traces of him teleporting away and had to chase him all the way to where Isbert and Isdis fought.

Arad landed in the tundra where Isdis and Isbert fought. This happened just five seconds after his emergence. He could sense it, the smell of dragons, two, an adult one, and the smell of Gamond. On top of that, Isbert's magic engulfed the whole place, a divine teleportation spell

was cast here.

She had done a great job encrypting the coordinates and wavelengths of the magic. She would've fooled Arad had he not trained his magic, now he can read spells like this, it's still difficult, but nothing would get between a dragon and his wife.

Normal teleportation magic won't work, he can't use it to follow Isbert. The spell she cast just had more variables than what normal magic could accommodate. Due to that, Arad was forced to use a different type of teleportation magic, the one he learned from a certain abomination, Vorvadoss the lord of space.

Arad roared into the sky, pale white light bursting from beneath his obsidian scales as he charged a massive amount of mana in preparation to teleport. Hati could feel his existence in her world, and it felt like a heavy boulder stuck inside her stomach.

With the increased efficiency from his magic training, ten seconds were enough to construct a large enough magic to teleport. But even with that, a tiny miscalculation had happened, causing him to land deep underground instead of on the surface.

When Gamond reached the tundra Arad had already teleported away once again. She couldn't believe how fast he was moving, she couldn't even keep up with him. And what's more, she could sense that Isbert was here and had used teleportation magic, and she could also sense that Arad had cast something. "Don't tell me followed her...that..." She growled and teleported after him.

When Arad emerged underground, he quickly realized Isdis was right above him. To avoid harming her, he didn't dig straight up in his draconic form, but instead cleared a path with earth and gravity magic, trying to cause as little tremor as possible.

He could've teleported again, but it seemed that Isbert was blocking all direct teleportation

to her castle. She probably guessed that if she allowed him, he'd snatch Isdis and blow her

castle to pieces.

As he got close to the surface he could feel the temperature sharply dropping, and so he

started generating heat to slowly warm Isdis on the surface and avoid any sudden spikes in temperature. He knew that drastic shifts in temperature could crack steel, and his wife should be treated delicately. This also included protecting her with a barrier, which he cast the

moment she got in range.

Isdis barely managed to stand, she had finished her training, but the exhaustion still plagued

her mind. "Arad, it's fine..." The moment she stood, her vision blackened for a second as her blood pressure dropped. She stumbled and he caught her in his arm. From her pocket, a heat crystal dropped out and rolled on the ground like a coin. Arad bent forward and reached down, lifting the glowing red crystal between his index and thumb, looking at it with a passive face. "Stored heat in a shell of crystalline ice reinforced with magic and barriers." He immediately saw through it. At the same time, the maids rushed to stand behind Gamond and get ready to fight. With her spearheading a charge, they might be able to fend him off. CLING! A second red crystal fell beside him out of nowhere, and soon even more started appearing. A waterfall of heat crystals started emerging around Arad, splashing around with a wave of wealth. He was creating them, to the maids, this was like seeing someone appear out of nowhere and then start spawning tons of money.

Since inflation doesn't exist in this world due to their currency being a consumable item, Arad

was a money printer with no consequence. By the right of his power, he's as rich in this world as Isbert, if not more. In less than five seconds he had finished creating, not just filling, ten times as much as Isdis had to do in her test.

After creating countless heat crystals, Arad finally managed to create one that was a tiny

smooth sphere no bigger than a pea and configured it to slowly release the heat. "If you're feeling cold, swallow this. It'll heat you slowly from the inside." He extended a handful of

heat crystals toward Isdis. In those few seconds, he had created a few dozen million crystals without batting an eye.

"How did you make all of those?!" Isdis gasped, looking at the massive pile of heat crystal

that they were standing in.

"Fire and Ice magic aren't real, the same for heat and cold magic, the only real magic is temperature magic. It forcibly transfers heat energy from one source to a different spot." He looked around, "This world is already doomed. The only way you can generate heat here without a heat source is by sucking the heat out of the world itself and bottling it up in those crystals." He smiled. He knew that doing that was making this world even colder each day, which made life even harder.

Arad didn't need to do that. "I on the other hand use the heat generated from one of my [Ho-

white Nova]s. It's a near-infinite heat source and thus I can fill the crystals rather quickly." "What about the shells of the crystals?" Isbert glared at him from her throne, charging the crystals was an easy feat, unlike making them from scratch. His mastery of barrier magic should be on par with her to be able to achieve such a feat.

"Barrier magic infused in ice, that's how it was made and I just repeated it. Weaving the magic

through the fragile ice was hard, but since I could use all of my scales at once, I separated the load." Arad only needed to think about how to make one crystal and then copy everything in parallel through all of his scales.

Arad didn't make the crystals on his first try, there were several thousand failed casts before

he made a single one, but since all of those casts happened in a fraction of a second, it looked like he succeeded on his first try.

Kory who was standing amongst the maids was entirely focused on Arad, trying to deduct his

magic, and quickly noticed something sinister. A trace of abomination magic. That was the magic Arad learned from Vorvadoss, but it gave the drakaina a false alarm.

To give her credit, she was the first beside Isbert to notice that it was the magic of abomination, mainly because she was present when Nyar attacked before. "That isn't Arad! He got abomination magic!" She growled, lunging forward, and flicked her fingers. In the blink of an eye, Isdis who was between Arad's legs got teleported behind Kory. She had left a mark of ice on her before. Since Kory was used to getting into trouble with how dumb she could be, she had left this just in case she needed to save Isdis.

Arad could smell her well, he knew she was Gamond's daughter and that she had no ill will

toward Isdis, only fear fueled by confusion aimed at him. This was the girl Yog told him to take as a mate...since he's taking her mother, he might as well catch her here.

She conjured a sword, pointing it straight at Arad's face. "Abomination, you won't trick us?

Get on your knees."

"I'm not your mother last night."
