Chapter 392 - 175 Lily (Blushing): I Can’t Just Say Spring Has Arrived, Can I? (10K)_5

She felt as if she was truly enjoying the pleasure of being dominated by Kael, as the somewhat hazy dreamscape unwittingly began to sharpen.

In the dream, it seemed she was controlled and dominated by Kael in a similar fashion, tumbling and swaying amidst obscurity as she gazed upon the murky world.

Unconsciously, her legs started to feel weak.

The sensation of fluctuating between sleep and wakefulness unlocked chains buried deep in her memory, as if unwittingly during her dance, her legs began to falter.

By the time she came back to her senses, the dance had reached its end, and upon regaining her clarity, she found herself seated once again.

Feeling somewhat disheveled, Lily looked at Elanna beside her with a baffled expression, and suddenly said with utmost seriousness,

"I feel like there might be something wrong with my mind and body, this situation is just too strange."

Elanna, confused, looked back at Lily and then said with a smile, "It seems Kael’s charm is really something, to think that just by dancing a single dance with you, Senior Sister Lily, it would result in such an outcome."

Lily was startled, initially thinking that this Knight had seen right through the mess inside of her.

She couldn’t help blushing…

"You, you better not tell anyone."

Lily stammered out her words.

Elanna sighed and said, "Senior Sister Lily, your condition is written all over your face. Everyone can see it; it’s impossible to hide!"

Lily’s face showed a look of horror, and although she had just confirmed that her body was not revealing anything amiss, how could it be that according to Elanna, everyone knew about it?

Fortunately, looking at Elanna’s perfectly normal face, Lily quickly realized that what she was thinking and what Elanna was thinking might be different matters.

Regardless, the situation was as it was, and she could only muster a forced smile and say,

"I’m probably overthinking it."

The mismatched conversation ended in a slightly awkward atmosphere, and Lily took the chance to slip away quietly from the crowd as the lights in the banquet hall gradually brightened; she needed to visit the washroom.

When she emerged clean and composed from the washroom, she couldn’t help wondering: What’s happening to me? Why do I lose myself like this each time I get close to Kael?

Staring at the small pile of crumpled tissues, she began to feel as if she might be a wayward girl.

But that shouldn’t be the case, should it? Surely just being in contact with Kael more often couldn’t have transformed her in such a way!

She suspiciously raised her head to check her reflection in the mirror, to see if her face had taken on any unmentionable hues.

But at first glance, she saw herself trapped in a cage, her dim eyes emitting a faint crimson glow, and her face looking as if it was about to collapse.

She paused, blinked, and looked into the mirror again.

However, this time the reflection showed no abnormalities, and she furrowed her brow. Strips of magic appeared on her body but ultimately detected no issues, leaving her somewhat despondently to say,

"Maybe I really am going crazy!"

After she finished cleaning up and removing her makeup, she left the bathroom flustered and returned to the party, only to find that everyone had now regrouped into small clusters, engaging in friendly conversation. Read latest stories on NovelBin.Côm

She hesitated for a moment before heading towards Kael and Elanna. Upon seeing Lily, Kael said with some surprise,

"Senior Sister Lily, you’ve removed your makeup so early?"

What could Lily say? She dared not say a word!

She couldn’t very well admit that after dancing just one dance with her junior, she felt as if she’d come undone like the arrival of spring— who would believe such a confession?

So, she had to pretend it was nothing and said nonchalantly, "Nothing much, it’s just that having these things on my face is really uncomfortable. Perhaps I’m not meant to use these fancy makeup products after all!"

That’s not it at all; Senior Sister Lily, today you were exceptionally beautiful. It should be said that those cosmetics and dresses became more valuable because they were worn by you.

Lily watched silently the boy who occupied her heart and who was destined to be with her, feeling mixed emotions as she said,

"I apologize for making you worry about me at such a time; tonight should have been the time for both of you to dance together."

Elanna shook her head and replied, "Some things are enough after just one dance, let’s save the excitement for the next time!"

"Ladies and gentlemen! That will be all for today’s banquet for now. When you all leave later, our personnel will arrange transportation to your respective hotels.

As for the dresses, they are a gift from Orean to all the messengers, and you don’t need to change out of them. You may take them with you."

Kael scanned the dresses, and seeing that there was nothing peculiar about them, nor devices that could be used for tracking, concluded that the dwarves of Orean had indeed shown some sincerity—

But that’s not right, sincerity and such things are earned, not given freely.

The dispatch of so many middle managers, coupled with a magic group leader, could already devastate a city in a short time.
