Chapter 63 Hidden talents
Chapter 63 Hidden talents
The rest of the Mankeys looked at Kong with eyes of wonder and astonishment. They could barely believe that he was the same Mankey that they had known all their lives.
"Are you…really…a Mankey?"
"You…change…a lot!"
"Hair change…body change…but Mankey same?"
Kong chuckled. "Yes, I am still the same Mankey as before," he said to them. "But I have changed. I have evolved to something better."
The rest of the Mankeys ogled at Kong's new appearance. They surrounded him and playfully picked at his fur.
Not only did Kong's appearance change, his whole aura became completely different to that of a normal Mankey.
Kong passively absorbed the elemental mana in his body due to the Lesser Mana Gathering skill he obtained from Michael. Water, Air, Fire, and most importantly Water, was gathering at his skin and nourishing his body with power. He was no longer the same skinny and emaciated Mankey that was on the brink of death.
The rest of the Mankeys felt this kind of presence only in higher beings and more complex demi-humans like the dwarves and the elves.
Those beings were at the top, comparable only to humans.
And now, the Mankey that was standing right in front of them was emitting the same kind of strength as those powerful species.
They couldn't believe it.
This led them to revere and worship Michael even more. They thought that the only being that could change a species' being was a God! Now, they treated Michael as one too.
"Benevolent Holy Being!"
"We…worship!"
Michael stopped them before things got too out of hand.
"Guys, please stop it. I'm not some kind of God," he said, waving his hands.
But how could they stop worshipping him when he single-handedly saved their species from extinction? Now that Kong had evolved into the next line of his species, he now held the power to change the course of life in the village.
They bowed to him even deeper.
Michael felt burdened with all this worship. He had to CLAP his hands and get their attention.
"Now, who wants to evolve next?" he asked them.
The rest of the Mankeys looked at Michael with confused faces. They thought that he was done with Kong. After all, a power that could change Kong into a superior species must take some kind of toll on Michael, right?
Kong had to convince his fellow Mankeys that Michael had enough power to awaken the talents of thousands upon thousands of Mankeys and never even break a sweat.
When he awakened, Kong was able to briefly observe just a smidgeon of Michael's true power. And with what he could see, Kong felt as if he was looking at an endless horizon of an ocean.
Michael's power was endless.
Finally, after a few minutes, Michael awakened the talents of the other four Mankeys.
The three Mankeys only had a talent in the C-class and below. One of them had the [D-class Metallurgy Mender] with a corresponding skill that allowed him to handle metal with ease.
The other had a talent called [C-class Wooden Whisperer], which was very useful in growing and making trees prosper even in the harshest of environments.
The other had a [D-class Taurus Keeper], which meant that he was talented in breeding and taking care of cows.
The last Mankey was the most surprising. First of all, unlike the rest of the Mankeys, this one evolved with barely no fur on their skin.
And if anyone were to look at this Mankey with no context, they would mistake it for a human woman!
Her face was defined with feminine features that could be considered quite beautiful in most cultures.
And instead of having yellow fur with patterned golden streaks, she had long, flowing yellow hair and eyebrows with similar patterned golden streaks.
The only thing that distinguished her from a human was the tail on her back, which was still colored yellow and gold.
Michael named her Anne, which she quickly accepted.
"Greetings, boss Michael. Anne, at your service," she said, with her tail wagging back and forth rapidly.
But that wasn't the only thing that was special with her.
Michael was surprised to find that she had an even better talent than Kong!

Michael was mistaken. It seemed that she was the one that his Superior Golden Nose was talking about.
He searched through the entirety of Kingsbridge using Fudge's clones to see if anyone else had a good talent, but the best ones he saw were only A class.
Now, he met two beings at the S class or higher in the Parched Lands, of all places.
"Boss, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this gift. You will not be disappointed in taking a chance on us. We make your words come true. We will achieve greater things than even we can imagine," Anne said, tapping her heart.
The rest of the evolved Mankeys thanked Michael, showing their sincerity to the man that changed their lives for the better.
Kong approached Michael and kneeled. "Boss, we are ready to fulfill any of your orders."
Michael shook his head. Although there were a lot of things he wanted to do, he didn't want to forget the most important thing in the world.
"I want you to lead me to your village," he said with a serious tone. "They need water, right? We should go now. We can't waste any time."
Kong, Anne, and the rest of the Mankeys felt emotions welling up in their eyes. Michael had no reason to save their village, yet it was his first priority.
"Yes, boss. Thank you!" they all shouted.
