Chapter 133 Ancestor Lucian

Chapter 133 Ancestor Lucian

*Clink*

Back in Transcendence, the clinking sound of fingernails hitting a plate echoed in the quiet restaurant.

Garm frowned as he looked down at his plate, which was now empty. To him, one filet mignon steak was not enough. It was not even qualified to be called an appetizer. To satisfy his stomach, he would need at least nine more steaks. Even then, he would still not be full.

With a sigh, Garm turned his attention away from his saliva-soaked plate to the half-filled ramekin. He carefully grabbed it as if it were the most precious thing in existence, brought it to his lips, and downed the entire content within. The rich, savory pan sauce slid down his tongue, leaving a wonderful aftertaste. However, it was still not enough; it only made his hunger even more apparent.

"Haah." Garm sighed in disappointment. Then he shoved his right hand's pointer finger into his mouth and used his tongue to lick his entire finger clean. He then proceeded to suck on it like it was the most delicious steak candy in the world. After his finger was completely clean of steak juices and pan sauce, he moved on to his next finger… then the next…

Albert knew his Master was still not satisfied. Had the owner not been a stickler for the rules, his Master would not have been in such a predicament. Even worse, Belieth had informed him before they returned to Transcendence not to provoke Lucian until he was confident of defeating him.

Therefore, he could not force Lucian to cook more dishes for them or give his Master his three remaining slices of steak.

Transcendence's rules prevented customers from ordering multiple servings of a dish, sharing food, and takeout.

With no other choice, Albert quickly finished off the rest of the Sous Vide Filet Mignon, lest his Master gave into temptation and provoked Lucian's anger.

"That was an excellent-tasting dish." Albert praised Lucian, who had been sitting at a table opposite them with his eyes closed. "But might I suggest something?"

Lucian did not respond to him, merely opening one eye in his direction as a cue for him to continue.

Lucian's stand-offish action clearly indicated he did not put Albert in his eyes, causing his face to darken.

In the grand scheme of things, Albert was merely another Mana Soul Realm Mage. However, he was a Mage proficient in the Space Element, which was a highly coveted Element. Therefore, anyone with a lower Mage Rank would bow in respect to him when they saw him, even Mana King Realm Mages spoke with a modicum of respect to him.

But this Lucian… He did not even bother to reply to him. He merely glanced at him with one eye like he was looking at a beggar.

However, as a professional butler with countless years of experience dealing with such arrogant people, Albert quickly composed himself and smilingly spoke, "Your dishes are absolutely delicious without a doubt. The Siren's Melody Poached Egg is a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and fishy. The Berry Blast is refreshing, and even now my breath smells fruity.

As for the Sous Vide Filet Mignon, it is by far the best dish on the menu. However, the portion sizes are just too small. My Master is still not satisfied after tasting your three dishes."

"What do you want me to do about it?" Lucian asked as he opened his other eye. "Do you want me to remove my restaurant's second rule?"

After saying so, Lucian curled his lips at Albert.

By this time, Garm had finished sucking on all ten of his fingers and was greedily eyeing Albert's plate, ramekin, knife, and fork. But when he heard Lucian's words, his hungry eyes widened, and his flesh jiggled as he hastily turned in Lucian's direction.

"Chef Lucian, No! Ancestor Lucian, if you remove your restaurant's second rule for me, I will order ten, no, twenty servings of your Sous Vide Filet Mignon and a hundred servings of your Siren's Melody Poached Egg!" Garm was not kidding. Lucian's dishes were the best he had ever tasted in his life. If Lucian allowed it, he would throw all of his wealth at him.

[Oi, fatty. If you're so pleased eating food made by a Mortal Alchemy Chef, wouldn't you die after witnessing food cooked by an Immortal Alchemy Chef?] Belieth mocked disdainfully.

Hearing this, Garm's face trembled once again. He took a deep breath to compose himself from learning such a piece of information.

[How good are Immortal Alchemy Chefs?] Garm asked with bated anticipation.

[Heh. Fatty, remember this, food cooked by all Alchemy Chefs will taste great because they know how to preserve the Mana contained in ingredients. Therefore, the higher the Grade of an ingredient, the better the food will taste. However, a true Alchemy Chef can do more than just that. When you ascend to the Immortal Plane, you will naturally know then. For now, continue to enjoy this Mortal's dishes.

They aren't bad. Even this Sovereign believes he has a bright future.] Belieth gave a rare praise.

After staring at Garm's shocked expression for a while, Lucian responded to his question, "I will not remove my restaurant's rules for any reason."

'And who would want to be your ancestor? If you were my progeny, I would start questioning what happened that led to my perfect genes going to waste.'

Garm was visibly disappointed, and even Albert, who had secretly been hoping for seconds, was inwardly disappointed.

"Haah." Garm sighed after seeing Lucian's adamant face that said, 'I will never change my rules.'

"Even though I will not change my rules, I will continue adding more dishes to my menu. Tomorrow, you can taste my two new dishes — Sweet Berry Cream Glazed Dough Balls and Cheese and Herb Garlic Butter Dough Balls." Lucian said indifferently, then after glancing at their empty plates, he continued, "Now that you both are finished with your meals, I would appreciate it if you could leave."
