Chapter 325 293. Power leveling and idols

Student council, president's office.

The pure white young girl, originally engrossed in her work, furrowed her brows, set down the file in her hands, and stood up. Clasping her hands together, she assumed a posture of prayer.

Thus, a breeze wafted through the office curtains, causing the white drapes to flutter, and as it passed over the praying girl, it made her white tresses dance in the air.

Six gorgeous pure white wings unfurled gradually from the girl's back, and as dazzling sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains into the room, it illuminated the Angel's wings, making the pristine feathers emit a divine glow.

The girl's head tilted slightly upward, and a sacred halo quietly emerged above her head.

Immediately after, the humble ring rapidly expanded, infinite Holy Light converging within it, dyeing the white Angel's Ring gold and intertwining with threads of Fate to form an ethereal crown.

"There are three new divine positions?"

Sophia felt her Ring of Faith with puzzlement and was mildly surprised.

"Is it because of the young miss?"

She recalled the tasks she had entrusted to her Incarnation that day; it seemed Ruthfiel must have already given the Ring of Oath to the young miss.

She had not expected, however, that the young miss would unlock three divine positions so readily upon taking possession.

After all, it wasn't easy to activate a divine position; one had to be acknowledged by the masses in a certain area, making people feel that one's prowess in that field rivaled that of Deities, leading to faithful praying to you in that domain, and only a sufficient number of such prayers could eventually coalesce into a specific divine position.

This was the traditional path of Ascension to Godhood for faith-based Deities.

Of course, such a path from nothing to something was necessary only for the weaker beings; members of the Angel Clan and Angel Witches had the advantage of following in the footsteps of their predecessors, which spared them such arduous efforts.

The first faithful of a Little Angel or Little Angel Witch were often bestowed by their parents, with their own divine statues placed within their parents' temples, siphoning a wave of faith from their parents.

Moreover, the Ring of Faith of a bloodline successor often contained divine positions accumulated by the previous generation, and while these positions came in an unusable state initially, requiring a substantial amount of faith to activate, once activated, Little Angels or Little Angel Witches would naturally gain a part of the power associated with those divine positions. If they then trained in the techniques related to that divine position, they often found it much more effective.

It's somewhat like the same Martial Arts - ordinary people have to learn on their own, enduring decades of hardship to achieve a certain level of proficiency, whereas the children of Masters are born with decades of Martial Arts experience imparted by their expert parents. They start learning with a base of this power and have the guidance of their parents throughout the learning process — the difference in starting points is obvious.

For Mortals pursuing Ascension to Godhood, competing over a divine position could be a matter of life and death, but for Calamity level beings with family backing, even a fool could manage it.

However, Sophia was an exception. She had no parents, and her closest mentor was the Dragon Witch, who really wasn't much help in the realm of faith. So even though the Ring of Faith she inherited was extraordinarily prestigious, with the dual heritage of the King of Angels and the Divine King, containing countless divine positions awaiting her activation, it was impossible for her to collect enough faith to do so in a short time.

Therefore, with the cultivation of faith solely dependent on her own efforts, Sophia had only unlocked the two divine positions that best matched her: Light and Fate. After Summoning her Fallen Angel Incarnation, Ruthfiel brought with her two additional divine positions: Darkness and Conspiracy.

Although one can never have too many divine positions, and the more one has, the stronger they are, this requires sufficient faith.

When the number of followers is limited and the Power of Faith is not abundant, focusing on developing one or two divine positions can often be more efficient than casting a wide net.

It's like how a small company can only break through by making achievements within its field of expertise, while a large corporation has the capacity for a full-scale approach across multiple fields.

Until her own strength reached a certain level and the number of her followers reached a certain threshold, Sophia had no intention to dilute her efforts by unlocking more divine positions.

Yet, never had she expected that simply giving the Ring of Oath to the young miss would lead to the young miss giving her a threefold surprise in return.

After all, the Ring of Oath and the Ring of Faith had interchangeable privileges; the bearer of the Ring of Oath could inherit the main ring's divine positions, and the main ring could naturally share the privileges of the Ring of Oath.

These three new divine positions must have been shared from the young lady's side.

Moreover, dueling and martial arts, these two divinities, are very powerful.

The former can extract duel power from the power of faith, and this empowerment of the heart can make a person more suited for dueling, better in the state during a duel, and perform more excellently.

The latter can extract the martial spirit from the power of faith, and this empowerment of the heart can increase the speed at which one learns martial arts, improve understanding of martial techniques, and make it easier to gain inspiration and sudden insights during practice.

As for the last, culinary arts, let's forget about that one, Sophia does have some self-awareness after all, even if she uses her divinity to enhance herself, she probably can't compete with the young lady in the kitchen, so let's ignore it.

But where did the young lady get so many followers?

No sooner had Sophia thought this than she burst out laughing.

It seemed the young lady lacked everything but followers; Sophia had once witnessed the young lady impress the academically elite with the Eye of True Sight during her professional exam, making the smartest witches start to worship her like a deity, and it seemed that during the subsequent duels, the young lady might also have been masquerading as a fairy king.

"These three divinities are probably just for the young lady's martial soul incarnation," Sophia mused.

The Pure White Witch remembered the young lady mentioning that morning that she planned to have her incarnation learn the power of faith, and she suddenly understood.

But then again, if it were the young lady herself, not to mention anything else, just her identity as the Witch of the Forest...

Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire

Just the thought of the reputation and prestige of the youngest spell master in the Witch World made Sophia momentarily forget to breathe.

emmmm...

Originally, the young lady needed to learn the power of faith, and that was why Sophia had given her the Ring of Oath, so why did it now seem like she was the one who had got the better deal?

Sophia fell into thought.

Was this like having found someone else to level up her character by opening an illustration book?

But overall, it was a good thing, after all. She had chosen to specialize in divinity because she had no choice, and now that divinity unlocking didn't cost money, it was like opening a branch store for free, so why not go for it?

It seemed she might change her operational strategy; after all, the more divinities she had, the simpler it would be to gather followers.

On the other hand, compared to the original body's indifference, Ruthfiel had a very strong reaction, the Fallen Angel's eyes widened in disbelief as she asked the martial soul incarnation across from her.

"What's going on with you, where did you get so many followers from, your Moon Worship Cult hasn't even been established yet, right? And to directly unlock three divinities, do you know how much faith that requires?"

The proud Fallen Angel expressed her inability to accept the scene.

She recalled the hardships of starting a cult from nothing in her destined path, and then looked at the naive martial soul across from her who had easily achieved what she had worked so hard to do, who could stand such a thing?

In response, the Fairy King scratched his head and thought for a moment.

"Why don't you debut with me, we could become idols together in the Magic Network? After all, in this era of the Magic Network, who's still forming a cult?"

...Home Martial Soul's suggestion...
