Chapter 250 223. The evil forces make their appearance.
Dorothy ultimately did not make a move, even though the Minotaur Witch with bloodshot eyes had already set her sights on her, bellowing.
"Nina, I know you must have been deceived by this guy's smooth talk, but such a pathetic loser doesn't deserve you. I'll prove to you that I'm much stronger than this piece of trash."
With those words, she raised her hand and threw a punch directly at Dorothy.
Should I say it's typical of a Minotaur? The strength is immense; although to a homebody witch who had undergone a month of intensive motherly training, it was full of openings, but still, strength can shatter bricks. The Minotaur Witch, already adept at strength, became even more terrifying with her Berserk enhancement.
The punch hadn't yet reached, but the force had preceded it, the intense pressure of the punch shattered the table and chairs in an instant...
And this was no Arena, there were no False Lives to shield them; if Dorothy really were a little witch with only thirty thousand Mana, a hit from a punch like this would have left her either dead or severely injured.
The homebody witch really couldn't stand it anymore; she decided to teach this brainless person a lesson and bring her back to her senses.
However, before she could act, a figure stepped directly in front of Dorothy—it was the Centaur Lady, Nina.
"Have you caused enough trouble? I've been tolerating you only because you are a guest. You think too highly of yourself. This tavern is not a place for you to wreak havoc," Nina said.
The Centaur Lady managed to block the enraged Minotaur Witch's punch with one hand. In that moment, Nina, who had been in tattered clothes, burst forth with Mana, and under the glow of the light, a set of exquisite yet splendid Knight's Heavy Armor materialized on her. It covered not just her human upper body but also her equine lower half in full barding.
The previously amiable Nina now stood with an angry scowl and an imposing countenance, her aura sharp and fierce. In a snap, the flirty tavern girl from a second ago had transformed into a stern and majestic Female Knight.
Nina was truly angry now. As someone in the service industry, she had put up with a lot for the sake of the tavern's reputation; after all, the customer is a deity.
But today, Dorothy had been dragged into the tavern by her, and as the Centaur Lady, she couldn't allow her to be harmed because of her own affairs. No matter what, she had to ensure that the little witch would leave the same way she had come.
And seriously, no one must think they could be easily bullied, considering they were able to run a nightclub in a place like Witch Academy.
This Minotaur Witch must really be foolish, for not inquiring about how the "Fallen Night" and its crowd of otherworldly races had managed to establish themselves on the witches' turf before causing trouble.
"Ladies and gentlemen, my apologies for disturbing you today. All your expenses for today will be on the house. Please leave now, as we need to properly deal with this dispute," Nina stated.
With the hand that had blocked the punch, the Centaur Lady now firmly grasped the Minotaur Witch's fist, preventing her from breaking free despite her efforts. And still, she had the strength to address the other patrons in the tavern.
After her speech, the other staff members of the tavern, who were the various shabbily dressed young men and women that Dorothy had encountered on her way, did not say much else, orderly ushering the patrons out.
However, most choosing to leave were new customers, while many who were clearly regulars remained relaxed in their seats, smiling and eagerly watching the commotion unfold.
"I'm not leaving. I don't want the free meal. I just want to enjoy the show. It's been a long time since I've seen such a foolhardy youth dare to cause trouble here," one patron exclaimed.
"Exactly, I'm not going either. To enjoy such a spectacle without paying for my drink, I'm the winner here," another chimed in.
"Ah, seeing this young girl reminds me of my own youthful ignorance back in the day. Never mind, better left unsaid. Today, seeing someone else repeat the mistake, it makes me happy. I can't be the only fool," another added.
"Hehe, lucky for us the boss isn't here today; otherwise, this little Minotaur would be in for it," yet another patron chuckled.
...
The regulars included witches and beings from other Races, but at that moment, there were no distinctions between them—all were Merry Makers.
And by the time the smiling staff had finished escorting the new customers out, when they returned, they were no longer in their shabby attire. Arriving fully armed and brandishing various weapons, they fixed menacing stares on the Minotaur Witch who was still struggling to free herself from Nina's grasp.
"Big Sister Nina, let us handle this today. You're using your right to immunity for the first time in five years. Take a rest for now; watch us vent your frustration for you," they said.
A Lamia Tribe's Snake Woman flicked out her forked tongue to lick the scimitars in her hands, and laughed saying,
"That's right, boss lady. We've always been taken care of by you. Today you've been wronged, we can't stand for it."
A handsome young man immediately took off his bartender uniform on the spot, and his body swelled, transforming into a ferocious Werewolf, carrying a long knife in his mouth.
Then came the Snow Woman, Dwarf, Dark Elf, Harpies, Headless Knight, and even a Siren of the Sea...
It wasn't until that moment that Dorothy realized this small nightclub was truly teeming with hidden dragons and lurking tigers. The brothers and sisters here were all talented, each with their own unique technique; damn it, they all were strong and battle-ready from otherworldly races.

And now these powerful exotic beings stood together, gradually surrounding the Centaur Lady, the dark aura gathering like an evil force, the whole scene reminiscent of the Night Parade of Hyakki.
"Ah... is this place really running a legitimate business?"
Looking at the scene reminiscent of an organized crime syndicate deploying force, the Homebody Witch who had just stood up silently sat back down. She took a sip of her drink through a straw to calm her nerves, while doubtfully looking at the Centaur Lady in front of her, questioning the statements she had made before.
My dear brothers and sisters, your lineup should've been making a name for yourselves on the battlefield, not running a bar and nightclub. You're truly underselling yourselves here.
But this is good too, no need for me to lift a finger, even though it's a pity to miss out on the rare opportunity to play the hero in a damsel-in-distress scenario.
But never mind that, being saved by a hero isn't too bad either.
Looking at the towering figure standing in front of her, that wellspring of safety that was the Centaur Lady, Dorothy thought to herself in silence.
Meanwhile, Miss Nina stopped pretending and laid her cards on the table.
"Miss Zhu En, don't you want to make me part of your Servant Army? Since you won't listen to reason, today I'll give you a chance. Defeat me, and I'll join your Servant Army if you win today. After all, I couldn't possibly acknowledge a so-called deity as my master if they aren't more powerful than me," she declared.
The Centaur Lady looked at the Minotaur Witch, who was struggling and had turned red in the face, and smiled kindly.
Upon seeing this, Dorothy could only silently light a candle in her heart for her naive Minotaur kin.
After all, even though their Magic Power seemed about equal, when it came to combat skills...
Sigh, from the way the Minotaur Witch, despite her greater strength, was unable to free herself from the Centaur Lady's grip on her fist, it was clear there was a vast gap between their combat experience and skills.
There was basically no suspense left in this fight.
And just as she was thinking this, the Centaur Lady gently tapped her hoof, and in the next moment, the ordinary bar environment underwent a drastic change, all the patrons were moved to the sides, and the small stage in the middle of the bar that was reserved for live performances flipped over, transforming into a miniature arena.
Ah, this...
Watching the Centaur Lady, all smiles, dragging the Minotaur Witch onto the arena, Dorothy grew even more skeptical as to whether this bar was truly a legitimate one.
What kind of a bar has an arena?
But anyway, even if it did turn out to be a shady establishment, as long as they weren't fleecing me, it didn't really matter. It was time to enjoy the show.
The Homebody Witch sipped her drink contentedly through a straw, and watched as the Centaur Lady beat up the Minotaur.
...Dorothy, the Merry Maker, among the crowd...
