Chapter 1184 The Vampire's Introduction

Chapter 1184  The Vampire's Introduction

The group were discussing in the Wolf’s Pool Club how to handle the particular situation. Especially for the rest of the day. If they should travel together, or maybe make it so they were all staying at one hotel, maybe to even go searching for the vampires to see if they were still in the city.

If there was one thing that they were sure about, it was that the vampires weren’t done with what they needed to do, that there would be more to come. Which was why they felt like they couldn’t leave things alone.

In the middle of the conversation, Gary continued to get confusing texts, but he decided to leave them as it wasn’t so important, and he felt the conversation with the others would result in more progress.

However, the texts were coming in far too often, to the point where the others had even noticed it.

“What’s going on Gary, you keep looking at your phone?” Marie asked. “Is something up?”

“Well, I asked the Howlers to report if they saw anything, right?” Gary said. “I’ve been getting messages saying they haven’t spotted people in black or anything like that, but they said some weird things. Like saying that they’re seeing people head home.”

“Head home… that’s not too important, is it?” Park asked. “I mean, it is late, almost midnight.”

“Right,” Gary answered. “But I keep getting the same thing, and all of the people are from Cipen, on top of that, reports from different areas. If it wasn’t so important, I wonder why I would get a message.”

“But when I ask them what’s going on or for more details, they just go silent on me. I didn’t think it was a big deal, but it’s happened five times now.”

Maybe the others, along with Gary, wouldn’t think it was such a big deal, but with what they had experienced so far tonight, they had decided that it was for the best to go and check it out.

As an entire group, they had stepped out of the Wolf’s Pool Club and onto the street. There was no one that they could see, or anyone waiting to attack them, but that was the strangest of it all.

“There’s no one here,” Park said. “There’s literally no one here, there’s not a single person out on the street. This crap is so weird, man, I think I’ve watched far too many horror movies to know where this is going.”

There was an eeriness in the air, the sound of the cold wind flowing through the streets and not a person in sight. It forced everyone to be on guard for what was to happen next.

“So they managed to, what, just bribe everyone to leave the streets of Slough, they got rid of everyone, how is that even possible?” Olivia asked.

“I’ve seen it…” Ice answered. “I’ve seen Blackjack do some strange things at times. It was almost as if he could control people with his words.”

“If we’re talking about Blackjack, then it means that they were the ones who did all of this… it’s the vampires.”

“Right,” Austin said as he started to pound his fist into the palm of his hand. “And if they cleared the streets, that means they are coming for us.”

Figuring how the group were individually able to be tracked, Gary couldn’t put it past the vampires that they also had a way to find out where all of them were. If he was honest with himself, he perhaps preferred things this way anyway. With no people around, then he could fight with no worries.

The sound of several footsteps were heard coming from the right side of the street. They quickly turned their heads and could see a large group of men dressed in black walking down. There had to be at least fifty of them all walking in almost a straight line.

“Hey, hey, that’s a lot more than what attacked us before… I think we might have to call the rest of the group for backup!” Park said.

Just shy of around twenty meters, they had stopped. The men and women dressed in black then moved to the side. Now walking through, were three individuals; as they moved forward, everyone now had a clearer look at who they were.

One was a younger man, who had slicked-back hair spiked on both of his sides, almost gelled, but with the center of it partly empty; his jawline was extremely well-defined as he continued to walk forward.

Then there were two older gentlemen, both of them with grey hair. One had their grey hair slicked back with its mighty grey beard.

“That’s the vampire that I met before, the one that called himself the leader of the thirteenth family, Haylock,” Gary commented.

Then there was another older gentleman who looked around fifty. His hair was also grey in color but was fairly long, going by both sides just by his shoulder. His face was quite narrow, and he had a heavy silver thick mustache to go.

“What do we do, Gary?” Marie asked.

“Everyone just wait… they haven’t attacked us… so let’s just wait,” Gary answered.

As the three of them got to the front of their group, they had stopped and all were stood upright.

The first to speak was the man on the far left with black hair.

“I am Jin Talon, the current leader of the 4th family.”

Then, Haylock had spoken.

“My name is Haylock Sanguinis, leader of the 13th family.”

Lastly, the older man on the right spoke.

“My name is Numan Killton, leader of the 12th family.” Numan had paused there as he waited for the reactions of the others, but seeing as there was nothing, he continued onward.

“We are here today, to formally introduce to you, the third Vampire king!”
