Chapter 995 Before Departure-1

The dinner was mundane like usual but the girls were unusually silent, they would sneak glances at Samuel from time to time and talk in whispers. Although, he was fully capable of listening in to their conversation, he decided it was best not to get tangled in their gossip.

Beside, his mind was still reeling with processing intense amount of information. It seemed to be a viable side effect of him accessing large amount of information from the Source. Beside, they looked happy and relaxed, that's all that mattered to him.

Especially when the girls woke up and found Linh hurdled together with them naked. Apparently, despite her expressionless face, she was quite a expressional sleeper, weaving through Robyn, Anastasiya and Miranda with ease.

He was able to come up with excuses to explain the situation but he knew he was walking a tightrope, he was only able to convince them because despite their long sleep, they felt too tired to argue with him.

After dinner, Samuel retired to his room fully expecting some visitors. He could see it in their eyes that they were not done with him especially the three who already gotten a taste of it and were eager to venture further into 'abyss'.

Right on cue, half an hour after dinner, there was a light knock on his door. He told them that it was open, he expected few to come but it seemed like he was mistaken. Anastasiya, Kate, Nicole, Linh, Robyn, Disha and Miranda, the whole posse was here.

" I hope we are not disturbing you sleep?" Nicole lead the team and said with a sly smile. Samuel only motioned for them to enter and locked the door, he didn't want another fiasco of last night. The weather had gotten a lot colder but he still enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the night silence.

They gathered around the fireplace while Nicole opened some expensive wine bottles handing them to their guests, Samuel sat seeing that they were definitely acting odd, it's like they had something on their mind.

" Hey, do you want them to get drunk? I don't think they are of legal age to drink." Samuel added looking at Linh, Robyn and Disha, the youngest of their group.

" Oh, come on. I don't think a glass would hurt beside we are not in the States." Robyn retorted directly snatching the bottle from Nicole ready to gulp down the red nectar.

Meanwhile, Disha and Linh gently received their wine glasses. Anyone could tell that this was their first time coming face to face with the alcohol as they were more curious about it instead of being excited like Robyn.

" She is right. Let them enjoy, we are here if something goes wrong." Anastasiya said with a hearty laugh which seemed to only unsettle Samuel further. She might be a heavy drinker but she couldn't expect everyone else to be like her right?

" Fine but only one glass, that goes for you too Nicole."

" Amanda would kill me if she knew that I made you an alcoholic. Don't you remember that incident? You could barely hold yourself after one glass of this stuff." He snatched the bottles off her hand and kept it beside his feet.

" That was just a misunderstanding."

" Really? You almost threw up on the Queen for fucks sake. It was only because she was in good mood or else it would be a disaster and don't even get me going about your constant blabbering and mood swings. I don't want to listen to you howl for hours about how much you like this and that."

" Queen? As in Queen Elizabeth?" Disha said with a shocked expression.

" Yes, she is....a friend. It's a long story." He sighed.

The girls started pestering him and Nicole for answers, in the end he told her everything about his fifteenth birthday incident. It was a tale filled with preposterous events, some that were hard to believe while Nicole kept quiet blushing whenever he mentioned her antics.

They laughed and cried at the absurdity of what they did and how Samuel ultimately managed to save Nicole's ass from a strict punishment. Nicole would voice her complaints saying not to exaggerate but what did she knew? She was fully drunk being an annoyance to prominent guests.

" I never thought Nicole was capable of such a feat? She almost started an all out war under the influence." Anastasiya chuckled drowning another glass of wine and patting Nicole's back with enthusiasm.

Miranda simply chuckled while Robyn was busy enjoying the wine without a care about what nobles did. It barely registered in her ears because how foreign it felt to her. Disha and Linh listened with curiosity taking few sips from their wine glasses. It was obvious they didn't like the taste but the slight buzzing in their head made them eager to guess what would happen when they consumed more of it.

" I met her one time, she seemed like a mean old lady. I never knew there was a gentle side to her." Kate commented.

" I wouldn't call her gentle but she is...how do I say it...scary in her own way. Despite her age, she is sharp and resourceful." He said as he reminiscent about their handful of meetings especially the one few months ago. He wondered if the Queen's division did find anything about the mysterious organization, he totally forgot about it.

" Enough about her, I can tell that you are here because there is something on your mind. There is no need for you guys to be afraid about my judgement." He said with a smile glancing at each one of them. Anastasiya, Linh, Nicole and Robyn returned his gaze while rest averted it like they were hesitating about something.

" We...we decided that to leave tomorrow." Miranda spoke for her group.

" It's not that there's anything wrong, it's just I don't have much free time and have to travel to brazil next week." She hastily gave her reason thinking that he would be disappointed.

" I am in similar predicament. Since I didn't say anything to my talent company, they are frequently calling me to know my location thinking that I would cause some scandal. It also doesn't help that I regularly update my social media accounts." Kate said with a laugher.

" My family is pestering me to come home. They are worried about me staying abroad alone. I can't quite tell them where I am now in fear that they would disown me." Disha said with a sad expression. Having strict parent did mean protection but it was also a constant suffocation for someone like her. Although she was already twenty, her parents treated her like she was ten!
