Chapter 1057 Chance Encounter-4
Chapter 1057 Chance Encounter-4
Meanwhile, Eleanor also got off from the car and there were already people waiting for her party. They had been informed about the 'situation' and were trying to help as best as they could.
" Is this really necessary? Can't we just be like normal people?" Mathilda commented seeing the waiting party. It was a first for her which made her feel a little surreal.
" What's the problem? We will get about an hour of alone time in the chapel while the tourist would indirectly receive some discounts on their ticket. It's a win-win for both parties." Eleanor added. She gently grabbed Elise's hand and led her inside.
" Grandma! Look such a big building! It's just like my castle!" The little girl exclaimed seeing the scene in front of her. She was familiar with the stone building type which looked similar to Samuel's new chateau that he bought for her.
" It's big right? But it's more beautiful inside, we will have a look soon." Mathilda patted her head. Two old ladies and a little girl met up with the party to discuss few things. Eleanor would 'donate' some money would be helpful for the foundation that managed the large venue. It's not like they needed more support as it was a heritage building but they could always use more money.
The 'little' money was in million which was just a trickle for Eleanor but it would be some help for the foundation that tend to repair old buildings in the neighbourhood. It was early so it was not peak tourist hour, the staff made an impromptu announcement about the chance of plans citing some obscure reason, to satiate the crowd the tickets would be heavily discounted and they could loop around other places and come back after an hour.
No one questioned it and their plan worked. It's just a young man who was among the crowd looked at the small party of Eleanor and understood what was happening. It was not hard for him to recognize someone like Eleanor. He was the same man from earlier hoping to get in blending with the crowd but it seemed like his plans were disrupted.
But he had his own channels, even if Eleanor wanted to be alone he could made it happen that he could sneak inside without any issue. The problem was there were quite a lot of people following Eleanor, protecting her. Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire
He didn't want to engage with her or even made his presence known even if he did, he was sure that the other party wouldn't recognize him. It was best for him to go in as staff, he didn't want to turn halfway when he was so close, it was unlike him.
Within minute a special pass was arranged for him and he went inside as a guide blending in with the staff citing that he was a new recruit. It was common for people to go in and out of the staff designated entrance so no one raised the alarm after seeing him pass.
It also helped him since there were hardly any tourist inside, he could have his peace of mind enjoying the familiar glass antiques without obstructions. He kept his distance from Eleanor and her party and soon forgot about them. There was no need for him to gather attention to himself.
" Yes, yes. Stand there, you can try to lift her up....never mind we don't want you to sprain your hips. Hold steady..." Eleanor was like a fish in the water with a professional camera in her hand busy taking photos of Mathilda and Elise.
Elise was enamored by the beauty of the place, it wasn't just the architecture. It looked ancient and majestic, to withstand the test of time for eight hundred years was something magical even in layman's eyes.
She looked up at the high ceiling than at the glistening glass windows were the sunlight was passing through and exclaimed with excitement. Even Samuel's luxury estate was nothing compared to this in her eye. She didn't care about praying as she didn't understand the concept but she followed through with what adult were doing.
Somehow, after few minutes she started to wander off from the group because Eleanor was busy teaching Mathilda how to control the camera. She couldn't be the only one not having pictures together with Elise right? There were hardly any people to guide them while Mathilda assured that she could do it herself, it all led to Elise venturing out on her own coming to a secluded place inside the Chapel.
Normally tourist aren't allowed to go deep but because there was no staff, Elise had managed to slip away to the restricted section. She was turning her head from side to side looking at glowing decoration with a marvel in her eyes, she didn't even notice that she separated from the group.
*Ouch* Suddenly she hit someone because she wasn't paying attention and was about to fall on her butt but the person caught her. It was the same young man who was keeping his distance from Eleanor.
As soon as it happened, the young man felt several presence around him. There were two distinct teams one from his side that were only two in numbers while Eleanor's team had a lot more than two. He raised his hand to signal to his people that it was alright and not to expose themselves. He trusted the capabilities of his people who were the most elite guards in the world, it's just they never made their debut yet.
Even the protection detail employed by Eleanor hadn't manage to sense their presence yet which showed how competent these people were.
" Little girl are you alright?" The young man struggled to hold a soft smile on his face. After years of habit of always keeping a straight face and not showing his emotions in front of anyone, he wasn't sure what kind of face he was making right now. Smiling? It's been years since he saw himself smile! Pulling a gentle smile was out of question, he knew the disaster of frightening kids if he wasn't too careful with it.
Elise looked up and blinked several times before giving him a beaming smile, a smile so innocent and naive that took him aback for a second. Fortunately, Elise said something or else, he wouldn't know how to handle her.
