Both girls thought for a second and nodded, Samuel still have considerable shares in the company. Although they are non voting shares, it wouldn’t be hard to imagine those small and large shareholder would band together to come under his roof because of how much more influential his family background is.

He might not have such thoughts but he couldn’t really know what others were thinking about, they might become greedy trying to please him and undermining Delphina’s position. It might be solid as they hold the majority but Delphina wasn’t the sole owner of the shares like Alexis and Samuel, there was a chance for people to defect!

" Hmm? Is something wrong? It will take few months after that I will probably go back home and receive another ’assignment’. But I think because of how much this gamble paid off, I might be ’promoted’."

" Promoted?" He asked.

" Yeah, these tasks are a way to get us to gain experience without relying on our family’s name. Everything is to cultivate exceptional talent that might take over family business when they are reach a certain age."

" Certain age? You are just twenty three right? It will be a decade before you are competent enough to inherit a portion of it." Delphina said with a smug expression. She was indeed bested by a junior! Still she came out on top, while Delphina might be few years older than Alexis, she was now the chairman of the whole group.

For Alexis to achieve the same result she might need to work until her late thirties!

" You, bitch! There is no need to gloat! Without his help, your company would be in the palm of my hands and you would be living like a monk in some faraway place!" Alexis already knew what type of person Delphina was. They would constantly fight but she had to admit, the other party had it’s merit. But the smugness whenever they were not talking about business really infuriated her!

" Now, now. No need to get mad at me. You may call me a bitch but I am perfect plan for you!" Delphina said with enthusiasm, Alexis half expected her to snap like usual but she took it like it was nothing and even added adjective to herself without even flinching.

" Since you don’t want to be an old woman working till her forties to become the head of the family. There is a simple solution.." Delphina paused for dramatic effect. The bystander, Samuel also listened to her with a serious expression but he could see her devilish scheming eyes which made him smile.

" Coup! Just employ him and arrange a coup. It’s about time to bring war to the Hermes family who was always scheming behind the scene. I am sure they would be crushed in six months. Right Samuel? Can you make it happen?"

" You motherfuc-" By now Samuel stopped listening to them. Let them fight like cats for few minutes, they would calm down soon enough but same couldn’t see said about their subordinates. The assistant who was just about to enter, fled the scene. Even people vacated their station going out for a coffee break, it seemed like this scene was quite common.

Fortunately, Alexis stopped cursing profanities after ten minutes. She was tired, so tired in dealing with the slut. She just wanted to lie down and sleep that’s when Samuel made his proposal. Since the time was right, he knew she wouldn’t be able to refuse him.

" Why don’t you come work for me? I need someone like you who could think outside the box and is not afraid to take risks." Both Delphina and Alexis turned to him with shocked expression.

" Hey, hey, Are you trying to poach my partner in front of me?" Delphina panicked. She knew Alexis’s worth. Without her help, it wouldn’t be possible to stabilize such a huge entity in just couple of days. Beside she was quite resourceful and even more well connected.

" Go on." Alexis turned to him and said with a smile.

" Why not? My work here is basically done. I know that you can make this company flourish after all you are the youngest chairman in history!" This was one of the line that she would use to tease Alexis.

" Delphina. It’s time you stop slacking off if not I will tell Mr. Bernard!"
