Chapter 1811 Suspicions

Chapter 1811  Suspicions

The true nature of the administrator was no different from that of those arrogant nobles back in the capital. They would not mingle with people of lower status than them, and of course, they would not listen to anyone but someone above them. Administrators were the worst version of this noble; they would not listen to him unless it was their own superior's order.

He had many experiences with administrators and met many Senior Administrators who defied his orders. Of course, not all administrators were like that, but most were. Tang Shaoyang was in the top five percent of administrators. Except for the fight, the young administrator listened to the assignment most of the time.

The young administrator was not arrogant, and he spoke with his subordinates as if they were equal. With how Tang Shaoyang acted all this time, he regarded the young administrator as listening to his assignment. Despite his short interaction, he was well aware that the young administrator did not like complicated things. That was why he expected the young administrator to accept the assignment to be a commander in name.

However, Tang Shaoyang reacted strongly to the arrangement, a strong refusal. He knew that he was at fault for not having a discussion with the administrators beforehand. But it was for the better of the frontier, and he still expected them to accept their new role.

But when he was faced with the truth, the young administrator did not care about him and his legion. He was here for the mission and would prioritize the team members. The young administrator made it clear why he did not want and did not fit to be a commander.

Edson could imagine that Tang Shaoyang might create a conflict instead of resolving the conflict itself. That was enough to convince him not to push it further to Tang Shaoyang.

Commander Edson nodded his head. "I understand. You can leave the meeting since you don't want to take the role. We will have a further discussion with Team Kalisto."

Tang Shaoyang nodded and left the meeting room with his team. He did not show hesitation to leave, and that, for some reason, angered the seven generals further. As soon as The Reds left the room, the same general that had been bugging Tang Shaoyang spoke again.

"We can't have him in our legion if he doesn't want to listen to your command, Sir! It's better if we send him back! He is like a time bomb, and it will be just a matter of time until he will become a problem instead of helping us, Sir!"

Four generals nodded in agreement while the two generals showed no reaction.

"You better not push your luck!" It was Atilla who spoke. Everyone in the room turned toward the woman. "You better leave him alone instead of pressuring him if you want his help. If you don't need him, you better send him back instead of creating unnecessary trouble for yourself!"

The remark caused the seven generals to frown, and the talk-active general scowled at Atilla. He was about to say something, but Commander Edson stopped his general from provoking another administrator. "What do you mean, Administrator Atilla?"

Atilla shook her head and let out a sigh. "I expected something better from the Hurakan Legion, but this is disappointing. Based on the first battle against the army of the void creature, you should be aware of how strong that guy is. That should be enough to tell you not to see him based on his rank as administrator."

Then she looked toward Commander Edson, eye-to-eye. "You are the first one to find out that he killed one of the Kings, and you still don't give him the respect he deserved. You made a big decision for us without involving us in that decision. That just…" She did not finish the words, shaking her head.

"Lastly, he is a Senior Administrator, and yet, the Executive Administrator picked him up as the leader for this mission which is supposed to be led by an Executive Administrator. From those three clues, can't you guys pick something up? How do you have the guts to provoke him? Especially you!" She pointed her index finger at the talk-active general.

"How long have you stayed here? What have you achieved so far? Have you killed one of the kings? How many void creatures have you killed in the last battle? I just don't understand what you are trying to achieve by provoking? What are you trying to achieve by pressuring him? Aren't you supposed to please him so he will stay and help you fight this anomaly till the end? I don't understand your train of thought, at all!"

The talk-active general rose from his seat as he could not accept the humiliation, pointing his index finger at Atilla. "Shut up, b*tch! Are you his wh*re, trying to defend—" He did not finish his words as the room filled with Atilla's aura.

The aura was dreadful and overbearing, overwhelming everyone, including her own team members. Commander Edson was also surprised as he did not expect the situation would escalate so quickly. The aura suffocated them, and everything moved slowly in his eyes. His general who just insulted the administrator slowly fell back to his chair.

In that slow-motion movement, he saw Atilla make a move. If his general moved so slowly, Atilla moved at normal speed. He saw the figure walking toward his general, and with no mercy, she took out a sword and cut his general finger before cutting his general's entire right arm.

After that, the movement returned to normal as blood sprayed all over and a hand flew upward. By the time he reacted, Administrator Atilla was holding his general's neck, raising the man to the air.

"Don't move! Don't resist! Or you can find out whether you can save him faster than me killing him!" The words stopped Commander Edson, and his general also did not move or even struggle. They all believed that Atilla could kill him before they could help him.

Atilla let out a sigh and released the general. "That will be the first and the last warning!" Then she returned back to her seat.

She let out another sigh as sat down. "I am trying to warn you not to trouble him because it could lead to a worse situation. I am not trying to defend, but I am trying to help you and also my mission. Do you know why he is the leader of the mission? You should already know what he is capable of since he killed The Battle King, but I will tell you anyway so you keep your subordinates stricter."

"He had fought an emperor, not the Genesis Emperor, but The Corrupted Immortal Emperor, the former Executive Administrator. It was just a short fight, and he managed to bring the emperor's hand back with him! We have confirmed the hand indeed belongs to the emperor with how dense, poisonous, and strong the void energy is from the hand."

"I know you did a background check on him, and you thought he was just a newbie from a new world, but don't be mistaken about his background. He has a connection with one of the Executive Administrators, Arion, and you could say Arion is on his side. No one knows how close they are, but Arion created a Special Mission for him right after Tang Shaoyang joined the administration. So re-think before you do something stupid!"

"Lastly, he killed a lot of administrators during his trial. They tried to take his pet, the first tamed calamity, not just any calamity, but Unique Rank Calamity. The administrators colluded with the Nirvana Alliance and The God Order, and he almost wiped out all overseers. If not for System's direct interference, he might wipe the involved administrators!"

Commander Edson did a background check, but he did not find anything about the last three parts. He took a deep breath for a moment as his heart raced. If Tang Shaoyang was that strong and had a connection with one of the Executive Administrators, why did Team Chalice try to pick a fight with Tang Shaoyang?

"It's confidential information even among the administrators. Even my team members don't know any of that, and I am not supposed to tell you any of that. However, considering your contribution we have been fighting the void creature for thousands of years. I don't want you to offend that madman. If you try to harm him, then he will do everything to make sure that you can't harm him anymore, even if it means he will fight the whole kingdom. He did not hesitate to massacre the administrators, do you think he would give a f*ck about you guys?"

Partly, Atilla did not want the Hurakan Legion to fight Tang Shaoyang, but mostly it was for the sake of the mission. She didn't want the mission to get canceled. It was her selfishness that led her to leak the information about Tang Shaoyang here.

"There's one more thing. The Corrupted Immortal Emperor invited him to join the Void Cult before they fought. Tang Shaoyang confessed that he received the invite but refused. Even if you can win against him, The Void Cult might interfere and help him out. They will use him as a tool against us, and the last thing you want is another madman joining them! Please watch your people, Commander Edson!" Atilla added the last warning.

"Isn't that more reason for us to kill him instead rather than letting him join hands with the Void Cult?" The general who got his hand cut, standing again while holding the pain as his natural regeneration helped him to regrow his arm.

"You should investigate him or maybe send him back to your kingdom before he could create more trouble for us!" Atilla pointed at the general. "He is beyond stupid. Tang Shaoyang is strong, and we should kill him before he joins the Void Cult? Then should we wipe out the Hurakan Kingdom before your kingdom joins hands with the Void Cult? Should we kill all administrators before we join hands with the Void Cult and take over the God Realm? Should we eradicate the dragons before they join the Void Cult?"

"After everything I told you, do you still think it's a good idea to antagonize him? If I want to cast a suspicion, you are the most suspicious in this room. You tried so hard to push him, but why? We should clear the suspicion that Tang Shaoyang is part of the Void Cult after killing The Battle King. He is on our side, but what about you? Why are you so adamant? Why are you targeting him?"

Commander Edson did not have any suspicions about his generals before, but when Atilla pointed out, it was indeed weird. Why did his general try to push Tang Shaoyang? Especially since they never met or interacted before. This meeting should be their first meeting.
